Greetings! I'm an experienced Men of War: Assault Squad Modder, and have done extensive work with texturing, coding, and other areas, but I would like to venture into creating my own models for my mods, but I have been unable to find a working download for the versions of 3ds max needed to make models for Assault Squad. Any tips? Ideas? Links...? |

Q2modeler can open Quake 2 .mdl files: Moddb.com Give that a shot. I've use that to convert models I made in Blender 2.49b for Quake. This is the method I used to do it (might not be best best, but it worked for me): Qexpo2016.com -- Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com |

Thanks for your reply! I downloaded the Q2 modeler, but when I attempt to open .mdl models from Assault Squad, the software tells me said models are not .mdl, despite the fact that they are any ideas as to why this is or how to fix it? I got a working download for blender 2.78, so now I just need to find a way to open and export .mdl files. I'll see what I can do to open them, but please let me know any thoughts you may have! |

Hmm... most likely a completely different format then, just uses the same extension. Not sure I can help then as I don't own the game. I looked at the game's official forum and didn't see anything about modeling either. -- Go play some Quake 2: q2server.fuzzylogicinc.com |
