What is a good ani-virous program? I am taking my computer to get wiped clean for the third time now, because there are so many virousus on it that I can't even turn it off. So what ant-virous program would you guys suggest? I really need a good one because this is happeneing to the computer that I do my mod work on and each time it happens I loose a bunch of stuff, I alwas forget to peut something on the backup disk. So yeah, I really need a good anti virous, ad I checked the comcast site (my ISP) and they don't give one.

Norton Anti-Virus is one of the best I've ever had. Very nice program.

i use norton antivirus and i must say i havent had a virus for almost a year now. And even that one was easy to fix :) So if i were u id def go with norton.
For freeware i would recommend antivir. it is the best free program u can get. I used it for a long time and had almost no viruses, and also magazines like pcworld nominated it.

well who would pay anyway if it works without... maybe the paying is for some premium service that gives u extra information about new viruses or something....

Norton is good, But you should get ZoneAlarm, Norton and the free AVG anti virus and your sorted for everything - zone alarm stops spyware and everything but norton i've known for some spyware to slip through it - but zone alarm is ace..

Ok, how about links? In case my norton thing is like a demo or something.

Whatever you get, don't get the one that's used by Hotmail. Whatever the heck that one is, it seems to think every RAR file is a virus...

Chainsaw, hammer, gasoline and matches, ... but the best is a nuclear bomb! Gets rid of your neighbours virus problem too and it takes care of the annoying spyware also.

Ahhh Norton is Bull... I got Norton Internet Security with my Gigabyte motherboard a few weeks back - only a 30 day trial. Whats worse was the fact that the firewall on it did sweet F.A.

Then when i knew i had a virus and some spyware on my comp that it let it pass i used the Norton Anti-Virus and it found nothing - even when it had all the updates... don't waste your money or your time.

I used AVG to search and it found the viruses straight away - then used ad-aware just to make sure the spyware was gone.

I can't believe how much of a rip Norton is - when it doesn't even safeguard your comp. Bunch of F****.

And im done :)
