Anyone know some good tuts for softimage xsi or free programs that could help me unwrap models? |

Blender. It can also export to ase, lwo, md5mesh, and many many others via scripts. You can manually make seams to unwrap with or have it auto-unwrap each face in sections. Depending on what you want, that's actuatly very very handy. You can also pain right on the model via Blender. There is a plugin for XSI called Roadkill UV which has a pelt-unwrapping feature (based off the Blender toolset I do believe). If you wait a few days Autodesk will also be releasing Softimage Modtool 7.5, which also has a new built-in auto-unwrapper. Or are you looking for tutorials geared more towards creating manual sub-projections? |
