Natural Selection 2 is more natural then some of the crap they're pushing these days as natural. It's become the new marketing cliche.

You want to see a good way to advertise something healthy? Parody the cliches, like that baby carrots video the showed on Yahoo a while back.

I suggest you never live in America then.

Or read blogs.

Or make conversation with human beings.

:)

I would like to apologize for just blurting this out without being able to convey my actual point. Been a little out of it today (and I can't really tell why), and my forethought clearly blanked on this one.

Again -- sorry everybody. As you can tell by the thread's grammar, making a thread this hastily feels a bit silly for me. I'll be watching myself now.

It's natural you would feel that way. Don't act against your nature, make music and dance!

So much for randomness ;)

You do know that the expression "natural selection" is about evolution?
It's a name that fits very well in a humans vs zerg-like -aliens FPS imo.

Do you know that the sky is blue, and that penguins can't fly?

I was not being sarcastic about Natural Selection 2's name. It's name is a good fit.

And I'm not turning this into a debate about evolution. *nips idea in the butt. shoves it off a cliff via rage quit*

No. That clearly is what -you're- concerned about though. What next, going to compare our kill/death ratios from Team Fortress 2 or something?

I am getting at the pointless use of the word "natural" in advertising and on boxes. It's like "organic". Sorry Unilever and McDonalds, but I'm not convinced. Stop advertising to kids 24/7, then we'll start talking...

Observe "Food Fight" by Kelly Brownwell. A book I had to read a year or two ago for school.

It's a matter of personal opinions but why bring something up that no one cares about? Then again that is my opinion. I'm not trying to be mean but really idealistic and how "McDonalds" doesn't care about one persons opinion.

So you're saying companies should be able to say whatever they want about their products and casually just have everyone agree to it? Does that mean I'm really supposed to believe that elves make cookies mass production? That's the line you're arguing here. I'm not being an idealist, I'm frustrated. I'm as far from an idealist on this subject as you could get. Idealism means you believe there's a so clear amount of hope that everything's gonna be fine. I think there's potential to fix this mess we've let the food companies get us into, but I'm nowhere near an idealist's perspective as of right now.

Clearly you need to re-read what I wrote. I never spoke of anything of what you are bringing up. I don't know if you are raging about a company that treated you badly or what but complaining here is not what the forums are for. The first line in your sentence is absolutely wrong, if you disagree quote where I said that we need to agree to everything the food companies put out. Even if you think that's what I meant you were far off. Next I didn't say you were or were not being "Idealistic" nor did I state you needed to be. If you want to state something you need to make it clear and not wonder off on subjects you feel like talking about. Make a thread talking about food companies and the hidden medians or something.

You really have an attitude problem. Every reply I get from you in every thread I post to, is hostile, antisocial and/or plain insulting.

Hmm...

I apologize, but it's partly because (especially that post there) initially really come off in a more degrading tone (as if I were to frankly have less an intellect than you).

If that isn't what you were trying to convey, then I truly am sorry.
