The Source Thread

We are a Team that are making a source
version of "The Specialists"
called 'The Source'
we are called 'The Equilibruim'
Everyone is welcome to come and
help us make it, we need
coders,
mappers,
modelers,
texture artists,
sound artists,
html coders,
skinners,
Concept artists,
People who can run
a server for testing and
Testers ect ect....
So if you have anything, anything at all
you can contribute to making this
That would be a great help.

just a question. have you got in contact with the TS team already? perhaps they have something in mind or at last could provide some usefull help (perhaps even some of them might lend a hand).

yeahm I would think the TS team would be something you would want to talk to first...

Yes, We have been discusing it with them. we did ask them for for assistance, however there leader is on an official project wich I wont go into.

The Specialists for source? Me want it now! Yeah, like other people have already said, you should contact original TS team before you start to do anything...

We havent started anything just yet. but its likley that soon we will. We have had conversations with the team, however as i said before there currently busy.

This is only gonna have bad publicity when there is an official Specialists Source being made

Also wondering what exactly you will be doing? Because seems like you want a whole team...

you're naming the mod "The Source"?

not the best name, yeah...

If you can think of a better one, your welcome to tell me.
I'm open to all ideas.

what would help selecting a name is a general idea of the 'theme'. of course we know it's like The Specialists but i think you have your own idea of where the game takes place, what 'theme' it has. that could give people (perhaps also me) some ideas.

I suppose is its like the matrix.
set in a computer generated worlds were u can run along the side of walls by having focus.
Being in a training world like the dojo or the towers were you jump across. on the other hand places were
it imatates real places that used to exist possible
on moving trains. and places like the
homeworld of the humans. If that helps.
Are aim in this is to make it like you feel your pushing more
to jump instead of it feeling like its gravity.
I am going to start on making the levels soon enough.
I shall probabley start of with either the sceen from
the lobby or the train sceen were Smith gets crushed by a train. If you can think of a place that would be fun to dive around in shoting the hell out of everything in slow motion
do tell me, its allways handy to know what you guys want.

Are you calling it "The Equilibrium: The Source" or just "The Source"?

It's almost like making a jdoom mod and then calling it "The jdoom" or w/e

If you read the top you will see that it says

I was stating that the team were called The Equilibrium
If you have a better name for the game then 'The Source' then please tell me beacues I don't like it that much either, as I was stretched for ideas at the time. I was more interested about how the game would play then what its name was. Wich really is how I think it should be.

i think the mod is called 'the source', but the team of like 4 ppl call themselves 'the equilibrium', which is just a way for noobish teams to look professional.
