Hey guys, do you think tutorials / features posted on the Mod DB should be paginated i.e. jump through pages to view the content, or should they be shown on one page wikipedia style? Just something I was thinking about and my answer to this is - don't paginate tutorials, show it all on one page but paginate features? I guess the only issue with this is if the member decides to post a super long feature / tutorial -- Scott Reismanis |

Nothing wrong with actual anchors. Tutorial sites do this all the time. Also... "pain in the ****"? What obscene four-letter word exists to refer to the backside? Edited by: leilei -- < insert subject games here >

You can generally get away with pretty large pages, so long as there aren't too many images. When there are too many images, it's a pain in the arse to skip to the sections you want, when it's still loading images above your text and bumping the content down the screen |

Alright... well i've got a good idea for pagination anyhow so i'll implement that now. Basically it'll be smart like wikipedia in that it creates a table of contents based on the headings in the tutorial / feature. -- Scott Reismanis |

Paganism should definitely be introduced as the forum religion. Not only will it improve motivation, it'll also bring back the brawls! I think I would prefer to have it all as one page wikipedia style. Its easier to scroll through and read something rather than go through pages. Using the mouse is a tough job. Keyboards make the world go sphere. -- ModDB Fucking Oldtimer and (ex) Crow |

But...the features don't use headings. Unless you're talking about the differently named pages. |

Feature pages on v4 do not have titles. Instead it will be table of contents based on the headings - so all existing features will have to be updated to reflect this change. -- Scott Reismanis |
