Here we go! Which one it is is still undecided, but I thought I'd preview it to everyone. :) I'm having trouble with where I should go from here. Suggestions?

Update.

Yes/no?

The big pod underneath the belly is the missile pod.

Ummm, unless your missiles drop after two feet it is going to shoot itself down. Hove you looked at any aircraft books, or websites? Look at the desighns and you will get an idea of how anything the flys should look. I am not saying your model looks teh suckz0rz, it's very bully just not... practical. I hope I did nopt come out as sounding like a jackass :S

It's for space use, not atmospheric. :) I know how missiles work in the real world, I research planes a lot. What I'm thinking is, well, the missile is jettisoned at a downward angle, sort of like a bomb would be. It would then fall for a little bit and ignite, then the fins would steer it towards it's target.
Of course, that's what would happen if it was in the atmosphere :)

What would hapeen in zero-g then? You seem to know your stuff so I would like to hear, seeing as I too am trying to desigh a space fighter for an upcoming mod of mine. /me is interested

In zero G I think the same system would apply, except the missiles would have to be explosively jettisoned at a greater downward angle. Also, some of the missile's maneuvering fuel could be used in firing the upper thrusters to clear it downwards even farther.

for a missle to work in space it would need manuvering jets. to lanch it all you need is compressed air to shoot it downward then to ignite.
