while the other can be learned in thirty minutes and can do 95% of 3D game content creation.

It can be used for game design, and can do so quite ably IMO

making models isn’t 95% of game modelling
making the model is not even half

in a five min tut for max you can make a set of table and chairs have them uved and skinned.
im sorry i cant see SU doing that :)

in 2 hours you can have a rigged skinned character model
I cant see SU doing that

in 1 hour you can make a tire and a normal map and have it uved and ingame
I cant see SU doing that

in 2 min you can normal map a model
I don’t believe SU has projection mapping

In 2 min you can bake a diffuse map to a models uv
I don’t believe SU has texture baking or even GI

If im wrong feel free to link me to vids or anything of this being the case.

Its a modeller and that’s about it. you cant really glorify it any more than what it is.

but why use 2 modelling pack when everything can be done in one
i see what your saying and yer you can get a model into a game its still not a suitable app for game modelling imo

that’s not a rig its a layer based relationship
a rig involves weighting vertices onto bones
im interested to see some sketchup organics and if possible animations
it can make models yer but its still not a modelling app for games which is the point ive been trying to make all along.
