Needlemouse project (new sonic game) Thread

I just saw this on youtube comming 2010 kinda cool when i Heard what SEGA is doing to keep sonic on two feet again aftr the BIG failure of sonic unleased and sonic sega tennis (really? a gay tennis game?) Hopfully this won't be a failure for SEGA but we will have to find out later when it comes out =]

Sonic Unleashed wasn't exactly a failure by any margin that can be considered 'BIG'. The tennis game was awful, but it probably also sold moderately - but that wasn't a sonic game.

No I mean the game is awsome but that is not really our sonic that we first knew of 10 years ago

Its a failure in the eyes of hardcore gamers though, as is 99% of the casual crap that is released these days.. in which sonic has now joined. Thanks Nintendo and Sega! /sarcasm

the 1% is for games like World of Goo and Puzzle Quest that are pretty good game designs.

I didn't like Unleashed, Sonic Adventure 1 was the only game in the current series that I actually enjoyed, because it was different.. then they trashed it over and over.. and then we all wanted the 2D stuff back- that's not a good thing where we want to actually go backwards because the stuff in front is actually getting worse.

they should release a Sonic Adventure Gameplay style with STH360 graphics Next-Gen model of Sonic was a Tough Guy

Yea that does not look as good as the one that got released last on xbox 360

What SEGA needs to do is exactly what they're doing here. I'm pre-ordering this, THIS was my childhood.

luv'd all the sonic games, can't wait for the nxt but if im not mistaken needlemouse was the original name for sonic so im a bit skeptical about what there planning

It's basically going to be a Sonic: Rush style game on XBLA / PsNet - which has my interest.

i'd rather it be more like sonic rivals which was more fun

nah im tired of we want it to be like the original sonic, sonic's changed, to recapture something thats was done over more than a decade ago isnt easy, games like unleashed, 06, or the sonic racing game is now so im happy with watever sonic team decides to dish out nxt

Sonic is 20 years old? Now, I feel old...

In any case, I've got no real problem with the fact that sonic games are in 3D except for the fact that they're bad. But, if they could make one that was interesting, I'm sure it'd be great.

Unleashed was pretty reasonable, but yeah, most of the 3d sonic games are truly awful. Sonic isn't quite 20 yet (next year), but I do remember going to his "16th Birthday Party" a few years ago
