mod servers Thread

hey everyone why dont all the cool mods have server u ask its because we are not making mod servers we must take action!!!!!!!!! we must make mod servers for hammy-bob mod and all the other mods in moddb so that we can have a good time with mods im saying that we should make more servers for mods

Well, I tryed that ran out of mony fast 'cause no one else wanted to pay and the cost dispreportionat to what I can afford

Exactly. If you're going to go to the trouble of making a MP-only mod, they should be weary of the fact that they are also going to have to set up servers for their mod as well. You're not going to have everyone crooning for your mod right off the bat, so it's going to take plenty of time and energy, not to mention a lot of money to be successful. Unless, of course, you've already built up a popular standing, then you've done a pretty good job with advertising it.

Alternatively, mod-makers should make it so that the host player can act as a dedicated server, like what I've been doing with David Hunter - which will also support 56k play, mwhahahaaa.

ModDB has some servers, right ?
