Hello I'm Kain and I'm trying to get a podcast off the ground currently but i need a small group to help record a 15ish minute pilot episode. We would record about 45 Minutes of content and I would edit the highlights into the actual episode. Please reply to this or email myself if interested. Regards, kainbouzane@gmail.com |

@iQew I'm looking for people interested in gaming and/or anime that can talk about shows & games and their respective news, reviews, etc for about an hour to be condensed into a 45 minute podcast. Hope to hear from you both soon! Regards, kain. |

ok then, from reading the Gdoc from above, I have a few questions:
I could go and get even more nit picky about the way I think you'll answer some of these questions, but if that's a lot for you to answer to us, I'll just give you a single question then. Q: Why would we get involved in such a new project, trying to do PR for our games/ projects, when the Podcast itself isn't off the ground yet? I know that question sounds way more dickish then I mean it, but investing roughly an hour of our time in a project, we'd either need to be friends already, or we need to know to what are your ends and means? (At the very least, you should answer the questions to yourself) If you want to become a successful brand of any kind, you need to start with your own brand, not just invite those with existing brands onto your project, hoping enough of theirs will rub off. I don't mean to brag, but I've Founded a youtube series that got the hosts invited to EA's "Command Com"= Games com, in Germany in 2013, and they did it through several years of hard work, and best they could broadcasting, it wasn't all notoriety and fun. It took them a while to even bring on their guests, once they had a solid format. (Which I laid down and documented for them) They didn't just ask around for cool people to come and talk, to try and get them on the map. They put themselves on the map by doing what they loved, when they could, for as long as they could. Over time, notable guests found them, or they reached out to them, and the guests were happy to be part of such a grass roots community project. Ok, sorry, I've gone on too long, and switched into my ranty lecturish tone . I'll let you answer the questions, my point was, don't just expect amazing results if you know the right people, it's knowing them, and them knowing what you can do, that makes everyone shine. TBH, I'll put it bluntly, I get the feeling your doing this for a gaming audience, not a game design one, one is usually the other, but the other is usually not the one. If people are curious: (It's just luck / fate that the community it was for was for a series that got little publisher support.) More real world Example? (not sure if you'd be familiar, since this is mainly an American phenomenon: stephen colbert built his own brand and community for nearly a decade, before moving up to CBS, bringing much of his staff and loyal community to the new venue. Now, I don't mean to say you need to show us a decade of work & experience, but show us something. (my apologies if this seems rushed I only have about 10 minutes free right now to write this) 1. We've got roughly 4 potential hosts (4 confirmed and two in the process). And don't get me wrong, I realize that this will not be a confirmed success and a lot has to be done before we are capable of asking people do dedicate any significant efforts or even host any well known developers. 2. I currently record on a computer with a Blue Snowball microphone and I am speaking with the potentials to find their setups. 3. Currently (and this may change) I'm planning on distributing the podcast via Podbean, Soundcloud, Newgrounds, and Through a direct audio file link on google docs. 5. The project is just getting started up with the pilot date being planned but I've been working towards this idea for around two years off and on and in the last month have dedicated a immense amount of my time to it. 6. Currently working on this, I've got plans for a google plus page, a facebook page, an account on all of the previously mentioned hosts. 7. I was inspired by projects like the yogpod mostly, projects that started out very very small and slowly expanded their reach. I hope to expand the reach of this podcast someday as-well. 8. I have moderate experience editing both video and audio (through compilations and other small projects) but I hope to expand this knowledge if I end up editing the podcast. (there are a few potentials who I've talked with and are willing to so it will likely be a wip situation). 9. The podcasts will likely never feature all of these topic in mass and will majorly focus on the main topic which is gaming and gaming news, I'm just keeping anime as a secondary because it will likely be discussed on a semi-regular bases (think once every two or three podcasts) if we have the time. 10. Right now I'm looking into other projects like this one I know that there are many that are similar but I have yet to find one that does what i hope this podcast will do (mesh the interviewing of actual developers a\with the discussion of people who love the art and play avidly.) As per why you should spend your time on this, If you don't believe it will succeed as a project then, and I don't mean to offend but, don't. if you have no interest in the topics of wouldn't risk your reputation on a podcast that could potentially end in flames then I can't stop you. But if you want to place stake in a podcast that has a lot of time already devoted to it and hosts that genuinely care about that which they're producing then I urge you to send an email to the podcast address and attempt to help realize the hopes we have for this project. |

Your effort already showed in the Google document. I also don't see a point not to be a guest at your podcast, there is not really something to lose and it's probably going to be a fun experience. I don't have much experience with most of the modern games and don't know much about mangas and animes, but I wish you the best of luck and much success! cheers. -- Need some polishing for your game with beautiful VFX? Right on, Hope I didn't come off as an elitist earlier, just wanted to make sure you had a solid foundation for your venue, I've seen way too many not even half baked projects being posted here, recruiting, when their not even solid on what they want to do, or how they plan to do it. You've passed my critical thinking interrogation, and I'd be more then willing to help you out in any way I can. OFC I wasn't looking for a sure bet, nothing in life worth it is, just wanted to Gage your dedication level, and potentially that of the other members, because if the founder(s) aren't on the ball, then the chances of stable success become more variable.
