Looking for concept/3D artists Thread

I'm looking to start up a mod called Cat Fight, if you're wondering what it's about, check out the thread in the ideas and concepts area. I just need some skilled people to handle this end, then I would start looking for level designers and coders if everything works out properly.

It would be a fun and silly mod that could be very popular.

what engine is it going to use?

I honestly don't know too much about engines, I know I like the way TF2 looks character and level-wise so whatever engine TF2 is using. I want a cartoon-y look to it and that's the only one I know of that everything looks really nice on. the source stuff doesn't suit my taste for this idea look-wise.

I'll leave the engine up to coders and modelers seeing as how I need to learn more about those things. I'll just be directing and doing sound effects and whatnot.

Does TF2 use the source engine? it looks too pretty to...o_O

It does use the Source engine. They added a lot of fancy shader functionality in the Orange Box.

Well those fancy shader things make a world of difference lol.

I am interested in creating art for an indie project/mod.
To be honest, I have no experience with modding... yet. I think a noob with passion is just as valuable than a jaded old-schooler.

I'm new to 3d. I just started playing with Blender (because it's free).
When I finish something I'll post it. If you ever need 2d in the future, look me up

I'll take you right now for 2D lol. it's so good i'd ask you to draw me a cactus just so I could look at it haha.
