Hi there

I've been making apps for the past 2 years.

And crossed more than 1 million app downloads.

Now I'm looking to partner with a solid iOS developer to launch a mobile startup.

.......

Since I've already had reasonable downloads and profits - my goals are a lot wilder now.

I want to make apps that..

- Reach the top 10 free apps in the US.

- Are featured by Apple.

- Loved & used by people daily.

- Are highly profitable.

......

I'll be bringing a lot to the table..

- Ideas based on my experience & observation.

- ASO (App Store Optimization). My expertise.

- Monetizing apps with the right ads and iaps.

- Marketing & promotion (paid and free).

- Hiring contractors like designers & more.

- Managing the whole project and the team.

.........

I'm looking for an experienced iOS developer that..

- Gives attention to detail.

- Is good at communication.

- Has a sense of urgency.

- Is naturally creative.

And wants to..

- Make a better living.

- Create unique apps.

- Get recognized for taking on challenging work.

- Do something meaningful that makes an impact.

........

If that describes you - lets talk.

I'm sure you've some questions. So do I.

So lets meetup on Skype for a chat and get to know each other.

Add me on skype: shariqhere - and we'll go from there.

Thanks!

Muhammad

First of all, can you prove anything you say about your experience and success? Secondly your goals sound totally ridiculous, for example a goal should be: "I want my game/app to have unique mechanics' " I want the result to be different from other apps/games" e.t.c. Not goals that describe how successful the app should be after release.

"I've been making apps for the past 2 years"

does that mean you're a programmer, or just another ideas man with some marketing knowledge?

Hey Mistergeorge

Yeah ofcourse I can prove it. Whats the point of bragging if you can't back it up :)

If you're interested to talk more - we can meetup on Skype for a chat. I'll show you my apps and my downloads.

Looks like we have different definations of a goal.

A goal to you - seems like the effort you put in.

A goal to me - is the result I aim for.

So if we both wanted to lose weight - your "goal" would be to do 20 crunches a day. My goal would be to do whatever it takes to lose x number of pounds in x number of days.

Getting back to apps - I'm not making apps for myself. Otherwise there's no point in releasing it.

I make apps for other people. So they can enjoy and spread the word and if they like it so much, buy the in apps so it can be financially worthwhile for me to continue making apps.

So making an app is not the end game. Getting it to a large audience is my goal.

Since we both look at goals in such a different light - I don't think it'd be a good partnership.

Anyways - thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Keep rocking!

Hmm.. why do I sense a condescending tone here?

As if you mean to say I'm worthless - unless I'm a programmer.

So a programmer that can't rub two nickles together and can't ship any product or perhaps release an app and get it downloaded by no more than 10 people - is somehow superior to an "ideas man with some marketing knowledge"?

I respect programmers. I believe they're no less than magicians.

But if you can't spare any respect for one of those "ideas man" - well they don't have any respect for you either.

I'd have given you a pass if I knew you were on your period.

Otherwise if you can talk like a mature and polite adult and not an insecure person with his panties in a twist - that would be great.

Thanks

Of course a goal for me is the result I want to achieve but let's say I set today a goal today to go to the moon in the afternoon. Does this mean I will succeed doing what I said just because I said it? For me a goal should also include the plan someone must make to succeed what he says.

If I go now and ask my 7 year old cousin if he has any ideas, he will describe me more than 100 ideas. Sadly he will not be able to make them reality because he doesn't have the skills. Check the forums for example. Do you know how many people have ideas? It doesn't matter if you are a programmer or not, I respect all professions that involve skill and execution. But professions that don't require hard work and that are totally theoretical, probably not. I know a lot of people in the tech and gaming industry. All of them that have skills (Programmers, Artists, Composers) are also smart enough to come up with decent ideas and smart enough to publish and market their projects. But I have also seen people who just have ideas and are supposed to be geniuses, these ones usually don't succeed. All great men and women in history managed to succeed in making their thoughts reality because they were good in executing their ideas. I don't say you are worthless because I haven't seen any of your work or what you can do, I am just judging what you say. Also if you really had done something then you would have already shared your apps and the proof that it is yours, you don't need Skype for this.
Thanks a lot for your time, take care.

you're being very rude to people who just asked you 1 question.

wish you good luck anyway with your project

OP obviously knows what he is talking about and isn't looking to fool around in kiddie pool. He isn't trying to recruit everyone, he is looking for that one perfect business partner and it isn't in his interests to lie. I'm sure he'll mention the apps and his resumé with them if you meet his criteria and contact him. There's no basis for harassing.
