look on the blender homepage. somewhere under community there's a place for export/import scripts. i've got my i/e filters from there. they work under certain conditions. otherwise there are tuts about how to write a plugin for blender but to be honest... this python i/e system is not really a blast up to now. |

can happen. i had to fiddle around with them a bit too to get importing working but not always. either the formats are not well defined, 3d apps store them incorrectly or the scrips are still weak. i guess the last one is true so unless you write one yourself i guess you are stuck with them. |

I got his file and exported it to dxf. One problem. The normals are fucked up. Any way to fix that. In 3d studio max, I tried to unify the normals, but it doesn't unify right. Please help. BTW, Re-MasterMo. Try reinstalling blender. - Edited By ubersoldat On Sat 17th, Jul 2004 @ 8:00:30pm |

I exported it do dxf to see if the normals were different. Yes theyare different but the normals are mixed. Some are facing outwards, the others are facing inwards. |

Are they fine in OBJ? |

Jul 17 2004 Anchor | ||
Hehe, your kidding. The normals look terrible in OBJ. |

Yeh, I looked at it in blender. Looks fine, but blender doesn't use normals. |
