Help, Please! Thread

I downloaded two programs to play GTA VC(Grand Theft Auto: Vice City) but i can't get either to work, when i try the program called: VC-MP.exe it says i'm missing: MSVCR71.dll . And the other program is called Multi Theft Auto and when i try to connect it will not let me, please somebody please help me out Thanks.

It appears that you are inquiring about warez/cracks which is in violation of the ModDB user agreement. This thread shall be locked.

Maybe he was referring to the two multiplayer Vice City mods?

I googled your error and turned up this.

* Q: I get an error: missing DLL "msvcr71.dll".
A: This is possible to fix by downloading: Misc.opencoding.net and copying the dll into your system folder, usually c:\windows\system32 or (if that doesn't exist) c:\windows\system.

MSVCR71.dll I believe is a .NET Framework DLL anyways, but there are some instances where apps dont pick it up correctly (or the .NET FW doesn't install it).
I think Salohcin acted a little too early in locking this thread, with a problem like that you can't assume warez because its can be a pretty legit error and could easily refer to (like I said) the .NET Framework missing, for instance.

Sorry for the quick lock. I was tired and not thinking right. I was under the impression that he was trying to pirate a copy of Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.

No, i would never ever make copys of the game. I just want to play online but it seems impossible, thank you for your help and i will try your idea's.

I'm sorry, but a mod-making tool does not exist for any game. What we do is a lot like what people in the game industry do. You have to learn to program, animate, model, do level design, sound design, etc. It's a whole lot harder than what you may think it can be.

Perhaps he wanted to know about, oh I don't know, tools that would allow him to build a mod, such as a map editor and \ or SDK?

If you didn't see the ticket that he made, he was asking to edit actual functions and animations. It's not what you think it is, guys. Not to mention, his question has nothing to do with this thread.
