Hardcore Dancing... O_o Thread

Okay last night I went to my firs show ever... It was Norma Jean, Throwdown, and Evergreen Terrace (all of which are Hardcore bands) Okay well we wait outside for about 20 minutes doors open at seven. We get inside and people just keep flowing in a room maybe 250 feet by 100 feet. It takes the first band who is just the opener about 20 minutes to set up... Well anyway, the show starts and the opening band is pretty cool, Its pretty much calm, like most metal shows (metal shows= bunch of people with long hair and beards just head banging) the all of a sudden a rush of people come toward me, it caught me so off guard I almost fell. Then I notice a big ring with people in the middle just flailing their arms about and doing jumpkicks like a bunch of retarded ninjas... I mean its not like I hadnt heard of it before, but I didnt know it would look that gay, but being the person I am I am not one to judge thing before I try them myself, by this time Norma Jean is on and they are totally tearing the house down and this girl pushes me into the ring and I kinda slip so I was just like whatever.. Im out here I will try it, so then I start acting like a retarded ninja, a guy hits me in the face (just cause thats what happens I guess) and I get mad and hit him in the face like 5 times... security comes over to me and starts bitching about I should f****** throw you out of here B****. Luckily he didnt... and now I have a newfound hatred for hardcore dancing... Have any of you guys ever witnessed this act of homo eroticness or participated in it?

Only concerts/shows I ever go to I already know will be [relatively] mellow, and familiar, like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vendetta Red, Paul McCartney, etc.

I don't really like the whole metal scene. Most of the people that go to those concerts (not as an offense hatebreed) I think are kind of lame. I might sometime go to one just to see what its like, but I'm happy with vanilla rock for now, no strings attached.

Whoo, I've never been to a concert for anyone, and have not witnessed this gay act of what should probably not even be called dancing.

concert and clubbing are completely different different music, differnt people all round different atmospheres

I do believe it is called a Circle Pit, and it does sound like a gay affair in your case but usually isn't. Although it isn't unusual to get punched in the face and no-one says anything providing you only hit back as much as you take. Unless you're happy to shrug off a punch in the face it's best to stay away from them.

Ive seen it enough to hate it, seeing as I dont drink, and dont enjoy big social gathering, I dont think i'd like clubbing

Hardcore pits are definitely different from metal mosh pits. In the metal scene it's just younger guys running in a circle & pushing - if someone falls down everyone rushes to pick them up and nobody throws any punches. The hardcore shows I've been to have all had smaller pits with guys blindly throwing punches & trying to act tough. I always thought they looked gay, but gay ninjas....lol!

hardcore kids have a notorious infamy around here and die at the will of the metalheads. we all know the hardcore kids are just posers anyway.

well I mean it was a good show and all but like 20 kids were just going around starting pits and when I punched that one kid all his friends were trying to start stuff with me the whole night, they were spitting on me and shit... I was about to knock their friggin heads off but I wanted to stay so I just dealt with it...

Why didn't they get removed

because they werent actually harming me they were just trying to get me to take a swing so they could gang up on me and beat me down... stupid queers...
