Just stumbled across this, it kinda fits with something I've been telling people for a while (if infinity exists, then by the definition of infinity god exists, because we can imagine the concept of god, anything excluding something we can imagine is not infinity). What do you reckon? |

I've never found anyone who's been able to conclusively prove to me that infinity exists. Plus it's a kind of a weak argument. |

I think it's too complicated, I don't understand what the heck all that stuff means. |

If you mean 'god/God' when you say "some magical sky being" then all I can say is: who said god is a magical sky being? Edited by: SIGILL |

are you slightly dense or something? he wrote "magical sky being", and it's perfectly clear what he meant. |

Lol yeah I know, I edited my post, but still, no-one gave the definition of 'god' here |

magical sky being would be a sarcastic way of describing a theistic God that appears in monotheistic religions. It refers to the time when people believed that God literally lives in the sky. As for "magical", it surely refers to his omnipotent, divine powers and miracles that he supposedly made. |

... makes me think of sacred geometry. But at any rate, the idea of infinity proving the existance of a "god" makes sence to me, if you define god as "Everything" instead of religious view of "Seperate". |

I tend to be kinda "generous" to religion in that I see it as a bit like a philosophical study that is largely taught as if all the students are under 10. I guess part of the idea behind this thread was to try and have a discussion founded purely on logic (in which any pre conceptions are put to one side). I find this "god property" kinda sexy, it's non presumptuous with the potential for some decent arguments. Edited by: mSparks -- __ |

Too complicated for me, I'll check this out in another 15 years GOD = CREATOR |

So you'd say "creator" is part of the "god property"? -- __ |

I dont understand the weird "Proof"section in the wiki, I think that we are all our own god --

Right, so taking So this summary can be rounded off with "All things exist within infinity, therefore it is impossible for something not to exist within infinity, IF it is possible for a rational omniscient being to exist THEN necessarily a rational omniscient being exists". Also interesting to think, this also implies within some universe, all the Greek and Egyption gods also exist. Edited by: mSparks -- __ |

Great way to start a troll thread |

In which particular universe is modal logic trolling? Edited by: mSparks -- __ |
