Hello, We are 2 guys that have started a new mod called "Gangsta Trip", But we are only mappers so we need this to do the mod: -Modelers Thats what we need now, Do you wanna be something of this email us HeaL_BF1942@hotmail.com Information about the mod: You can use: Bats , Knifes , Granate , Pistol , Shoguns , Rifles and Bombs This and much more, Not much to come whit now but when we have more information to come whit we tell you that // Sorry my stupid/bad english |

Do you have a completed design document? If not, I will tell you right now that there is a 98% chance your mod will not make it. You should not start a mod until you are completed a design document, otherwise you lose track, move onto other things, add ideas and forget other ones which will eventually leave you unorganized with an unorganzied team. Another thing you should have is a procedures list. Like I said about Design Document, if you dont have them made then the team will be to confused, you'll lose track of what needs to be done and probably keep adding onto it. The reason why I say this is because you should have some kind of "point" to where you will end with the production for the first beta, and move to the next. Confusion costs time, and time means people, lives, future. I suggest you think about this through a bit more because the information you just listed wont help you much in finding a team. For help on getting a mod team together and created a decent mod, I suggest you read up here: Halflife2.net Thats the only article I can find that will help you in the areas Ive talked about and so much more. Is this for HL1 or 2, if its too you may want to join my mod team, we have 13-14 members already... One of them is still being reviewed... Anyway, the mod is called Criminal Velocity and it is an rp style mod. The general concept is hard to explain in a few words, head to the moddb profile for a more detailed description. |

There's no real reason to have that many members. That's just spreading the communication thin and having a harder time keeping control. I'd keep my team down to about half the size. One-two people per job is just right, so long as they're good at their jobs. i say be more original man. this is just like Gangwars. east side vs west side, battle each other. I wouldnt mind doing a gangsta mod for hl1, but i had a more original idea. ill post it later. |
