Latest Blog Entry

We're sorry, but no blog posts were found here. Boring yes, but as confucius always said - if you have nothing good to say, why say anything at all? Check back later, perhaps something exciting will pop-up and be worth blogging about, like season 3 of the teletubbies.

Speak your mind, rant about games, mods and the development scene, it's simple and who knows maybe someone will read it and agree. It will feel right!

I was thinking about making a mod that's only about 20-60 min of gameplay.
Like Lost Coast (it's a "look what we can do" from vavle. You've probably played it)
That way the goal is reachable and the team could focus more on making those 20 min awesome, rather than working on a epic adventure that doesn't get finnished. Then I could call those 20 min "chaper 1" and then if people like it I could make chapter 2. =)

I did some concepts for a zombie mod a while ago... zombies wasn't my cup of tea so I was pretty glad when the leaders stated that it was over. I learned how important leadership is anyway...
So I have atleast a little experience of what it's like working on a mod.
And my brother is a great programmer. Both he and I think that making a great mod (even if it's short) would be a good thing to have when applying to a real job in the industry.
The hardest part about making this mod would probably be gathering a talanted team. Hmmm.. maybe theres some good modelers/artists in pk..*hint hint *

Anyway.. I think you should try to take you mod idea, narrow it down a little for time saving purposes and go for it. I would definetly love playing as that furball. =D

mmmm, most mods are like fanart, remaking something that already exists. It's rare to find something new or different. Garry's Mod is a mod that really is different (you knwo that one, right?) and even recieved Mod of the year in 2005.
Starting your own mod takes a lot more than you think. I havn't actually tried it yet, but it takes a great deal of preperation and work from what I can see. Before you start one, I suggest you join one so you can get the feel for it. Most people who start out with thier first mod end up scrapping it (unless they're a programmer, they always have something to for people to play).
Blah... I've always wanted to start my own mod. I created a character spawned from my daydreams of said mod. You've seen him before: Img.photobucket.com I even modeled him too (older version) Img.photobucket.com
But I honestly don't think it would stay alive. It's simply too ambitious and I'd have far too high of expectations to ever get anything done. Maybe someday, perhaps after my mission.

I don't care for the community either. I got a new dashing computer with HL2. So I swim like a fish in the ocean of mods... I lurk here to find mods to play and maybe a mod to work with. So far I haven't found much interesting mods yet. Mostly they lack originality or they are based on something like.. dragon ball or world war 1.. =/
It kind of makes me want to make my own mod.. I probably will soon...

I checked out Wretched Abandon it looked very promising. And the art!!
Looking forward to it alot! =)

I don't have the internet at home anymore. I post very rarely, now. Besides, I don't care for moddb's community that much anymore. :P

"...Look at a fasion magazine. Sweatervests are all the rage, and cargo pants are becoming ever more popular. From what I can see, you're giving her a white shirt and blue jeans. Oh boy.
It's not jsut the figure that makes a woman beautiful. It's also the way she dresses...."
