The blurry/offset/odd wood background offsets the look.

It looks fine from a thumbnail though.

I like it. Something tells me you are working on an unannounced game or mod.

Can you tell me doctor why I still can't get to sleep?
The night time's just a jungle dark and a barking M16.
What's this rash that comes and goes can you tell me what it means?
God help me, I was only 19.

Seems to be doing it 6x in a row now :P

Anyway, when it comes to the render I'd say disable the specular unless you have a specular map as it will mess with the perception of the materials (ends up making the whole thing look like a single, solid piece of shiny plastic).

Aug 7 2009 Anchor

Alright thanks i did that and it works better now, and it only does it six times in my signature, which is weird so i just won't show my signature in my posts.

How is this?Rifle render 3

Floor texture still looks stretched or blurry. The wall looks flat brown, which does look better than the other one I think.
The floor/wall texture doesn't really matter when it comes to a gun render anyways, I just like a nice weapon to be properly presented.

Get a nice tiling wood texture its badly warped. the metal on the gun looks like plastic from buzz light year. you need to lighten up the scene a bit (even through its about the gun)

look at the image above see the wodd is polished so a little bit of specular is welcome.
finally the metal in the same picture...wel lyou no what i'm getting at.

Keep it up m8.

Specular is always welcome IMO, but only when it is controlled by maps. Otherwise it becomes hard to see the difference between chrome, rubber, wood, etc when they all spit the same consistant reflection back.
