well i dunno if this ok to post it here but seeing other games threads here i decided to say talk about this game.

i recently found out that bethesada (spellt wrong sorry tired)
is making Fallout 3 the sequel to fallout 2.... and i hear they gonna keep all the good stuff that makes fallout, falout and they will be adding more (like online play) new graphics and such....

tell me if you have heard anything.

also it was being made by Black isle...then i heard was scraped or the company got shut down.... then interplay was making it and stopd.... now bethesada bought the rights to Fallout and are making the new game.

It'll suck if not made by Black Isle imo. The Fall looks good, wonder if it was released in the meantime.

I trust Bethesda, to an extent. While Morrowind was done well for it's time save for a few problems, I think they have a good art team behind them at least.

I have not played either of the other two, so I could not be considered a fallout fanboy, but I did think they looked cool, and if I do decide to buy this one I'l get those two first. They have a site yet?

Bare in mind a large percentage of the Fallout guys left Black Isle to start Troika.

I hope Bethesda can modify their style from Morrowind to capture that Fallout grit without it feeling like a joke. I'll wait and see. But I hold a glimmer of hope.

I know (Buggerfall xD), but it is impossible for another team to achieve the level of the originals. Having rights to the title isn't anything.

Yes. Check out www.nma-fallout.com or www.rpgcodex.com for information on Fallout 3.

A lot of fanbois are pizzed that it may not be isometric or turn based and will probably be real-time.

As a lover of FO1 & FO2, as long as they stay true to the style...Im all for it.

Also...

Interplay still owns the rights to a Fallout MMORPG...and might be planning to do something with it.

Eh...not impressed with Interplay, but okay.

lol i think they are gonna make it after the major game their making (forget name) the new morrowind or what ever.

i read some where that they gonna stay as true to the grit of fallout so i hope they do that.

I know.

I was just pointing out that some of the original Fallout talent weren't with Black Isle any more and now basically there's no Black Isle full stop from my understanding.

Although I found some of the Black Isle design docs recently hosted on one of the Fallout fan sites. They had some awesome plans for the game. Restored my faith in BiS. Real pity.

Denver is a pre-War city that was being rebuilt when the War started; prisoners on work release salvage what they can from the city while evading huge packs of hungry dogs that roam the streets.
The city consists of 3-4 large maps, with 10-15 smaller maps or floorplans (covering various buildings and high-rise floors). The salvagers are about 20 NCR former prisoners on a special work release program, salvaging stuff for NCR in exchange for their eventual freedom. The dogs are the now-feral descendents of local pets and specially-bred police dogs. Rats, giant cockroaches, mutant bats, and climbing lizards are common hazards, as well as robot police dogs sent to enforce the "quarantine" on the PC.

The Reservation, formerly known as the Los Alamos Nuclear Testing Facility, was a top secret military & nuclear research facility before the bombs dropped. It was tasked with developing and building the nuclear missiles that went into the B.O.M.B. satellites.

it could well be better as a 1st or better still 3rd person (or toggle) shooter - realtime, or somekind of a mix. maybe be like a regular shooter but have hit percentage (say: eyes, groin the great stuff) displayed when the crosshair goes over that part.

i hope they keep stuff like being able to blow part of some1s head, stomach, or chest cavity away, or the way laser rifles could cut ppl in half, plasma melt em', or like the kickin yk42b pulse rifle n downright fry em' (original, or extra crispy?) (that would look kick ass in realtime, good grphx, ect) n big recoil for the sniper rifles n stuff that should have recoil

Bethesda have worked on some pretty good titles, and hopefully Fallout 3 will be of the same calibur.

I enjoyed the previous Fallout titles, mainly 2 but even so I think it would be just as good with or without turn.
