I am an art student full time, my current art studies focus on light and color, and anatomical proportions for character work. My forte is definitely environment work, with a lot of atmosphere. I am well versed in Photoshop, Alchemy, Maya, zbrush, crazybump, UDK, and source hammer editor.

I also do various texture work, both pre-viz texture work on 3D models, and the texture painting itself

Other then the above software I am equipped with a PC, obviously, a Nikon D60 for shooting textures, a huge existing texture library, and a intuos 3 tablet

I am looking for a mod team that is dedicated and preferably doing some sort of sci-fi work, but anything really. Most of my work is sci-fi / fantasy themed.

I just read your dArt page.

Someone wrote: Commission work is generally on an hourly basis, with smaller paintings going for about $15, and more complex work costing about $30 and up. I can be commissioned in bulk for long term projects that need a large amount of environment concepts.

I'm currently looking for an interesting indy project! A mod for the HL2 platform, I can map, model, texture, animate, and of course concept art. Contact me

You also say you are interested in Sci Fi theme.

What is considered sci fi? Halo/Gears of War? Or Killzone/Mirrors Edge?

I would call anything that is a fictional work with a science theme as "Science Fiction" - all of those titles are IMO science fiction, as they have a science / technology focus and are a work of fiction.

In todays media science and fantasy are heavily blended though, e.g. avatar

Just to clarify, you're looking for an indy project outside of your normal commission work, to work on in your spare time, right? You're not looking for a paying project specifically, but you'd probably prefer one.

Glad to see another person from Michigan on here.

I'm not looking for a paid job, just portfolio work

Just in case you missed it, ;)
We are looking for a sci-fi concept artist to help out with our rather "out of this dimension", part of the project.

Your work is great and definitely gives me the impression of the type of art we are looking for.
Here's hoping we can temp you.
