Desura app Thread

Is it possible to make a desura app for the ipod or ipad?

(just because apple might not like competion for the app store)

What do you mean ?? If you mean a desura app so you can access your profile check updates etc that would be good. Desura is for pc indie games so you couldnt have a desura store app selling pc games etc.

Yes it would be good to check updates and all that other stuff, what i ment was replase the pc games with some of the games on the iphone that are being developed on the site. Because the app store in my opinion is kind of bland and doesnt promote great games like moddb does.

AppStore is very locked down. Desura can not get in there. You can forget about such a prospect.

unfortunately all of the phones / consoles are locked platforms controlled by one vendor who in 99% of cases don't permit external applications like Desura.

As it happens, someone (PopCap?) actually tried to create a store app for their products on the iPhone, and it was immediately removed.

ModDB should just make a mobile version of the site.

Im am pretty sure moddb has a mobile phone version.
