I am currently working on a venice remake from the game Tomb Raider 2, i am unable to Rig Lara correctly, this is causing my issue with making her Run, Walk e.t.c. i have attempted to rig Lara but the outcome was not so successful...

Hair Problem - When the Hair is moved, the whole of her BackPack moves too

Left Arm - When i move her Left arm, her whole back moves out of proportion and the shoulder scales up

Right arm - the right arm does the same as the left, except the front of her body moves weird

Looks like you're doing just automatic weights calculated on bone basis. There's not much else you can expect without adjusting the bone weights.

See, you have to specifically adjust which polygons are moved by which bones and by how much. This is called weight painting in Blender. Weight painting should be considered a phase of rigging a character so your rigging is far from finished.

But don't be scared it won't be too hard on this model. TR2 still had loose sections IIRC which means you don't very fine falloff curves for weights meaning 25%, 50%, 75% etc weights. You can use 100% and 0% and do most of the rig with those.

I believe the hair wasn't animated but actually moved with a code so it moves and waves correctly with the character. The arms movement was obviously coded so that they always point to the enemy you are aiming at while turning, doing the backflips etc.
