I was just thinking it would be helpful if designers like myself could block profile/game/mod comments from guests as a feature. That way only members from verified accounts can only post, this would mean that if they did focus on 'trolling' then their account could be banned with their I.P Currently at the moment I have previously reported these types of members using this account, it actually breaks the 'Terms' of the website since the user has frequently harassed, insulted me directly on several occasions: Since it clearly states:
A designer like myself shouldn't have to put up with the harassment from these types of 'guest' members, should be treated no different actual proper members. Even check the comments since I have seen frequent times where it has been used to attack people directly while insulting anyone's working for the sake of attention: My other suggestion would be for members to have the feature to post. I agree with the idea, Just add a check box for us to not allow guests to comment on our profiles/pages/groups/etc -- |

Clearly you're going off topic as a joke. Anyway Maxen had the best idea of allowing the option where he said 'Just add a check box for us to not allow guests to comment on our profiles/pages/groups/etc' |

I like the idea of it being toggleable, if this suggestion was picked up and used what should it be set to by default, allow all guests to post or disallow guests to post. I think I would lean towards it being set so anyone can post by default and then if the page owner sees problems with troubled guest accounts then they can toggle it to block them. |

Fully supporting this idea. Would like to see many more perms for developers here on the site, beside the ability to block guest posts, to name all (IMHO) needed perms: So for example the community members can add add-ons (maps mostly) to somebody's add-on section but not full or demo releases. Just like splitting News and Tutorials so developers can block people from spam-linking news posts with their profile but still allow adding tutorials/guides to their page. |

Well, I'm not a fan of Guest accounts in forums. For me they're just a way to make spamming/trolling/flaming easier. So they could remove the guest account completely if you'd ask me. |

I'm all for removing guests completely but whoever wanted them originally must have some good reason for having them but to this day I haven't seen any decent reason to put up with it. Instead of guest accounts they probably should have verified accounts that are linked to their emails, even if they have nothing linked to skills since a lot of people do come here to look at what we make.
