THIS COPY IS OBSOLETE
The initial release candidate for compelx/Revamp Team Supreme Commander 2 Mod Manager. Please click the "Read more" link to see important information.
Requirements
Ensure you have Internet Explorer 9 or above. IE8 does not work (credit to malurok97)
Make sure you have .NET Framework 4.5.1 or newer. The installer for 4.5.1 can be found below:
Download.microsoft.com
Points of Interest
Mod Manager should determine where Supreme Commander 2's installation directory is located if you have the game installed through Steam. If that piece is not working as expected please let compelx know
I've been told the auto detection piece is broken. I am investigating why so for now follow the bit below.
- If prompted for the installation directory there's no harm in specifying it anyways. The folder you choose should have the "bin" folder within it.
The folder you choose should have the the "bin" folder within it.
For example, if you're game's exe was located at:
D:\games\Supreme Commander 2\bin\SupremeCommander2.exe
You should choose as the installation directory:
D:\games\Supreme Commander 2
About
This is the initial release candidate of the compelx/Revamp Supreme Commander 2 Mod Manager. Note: Being that this is a release candidate it is expected to contain numerous bugs so please bear with us. Contact compelx if you have any questions or issues for the time being.
Why use this Mod Manager
- Easy to use, responsive user interface
- Automatic detection of mod conflicts (mod authors need not worry about compatibility issues)
- Gamedata hash calculation - ensure you and your friends have the same game files
- Backup and restore - installation and uninstallation puts previous files back in their proper place
This Mod Manager does not work directly with .SCD files. It requires mod authors create .SC2 packages with the included SC2Creator.exe utility. Mod authors should consult the authoring article compelx wrote on his profile.

Please read the description before downloading!
If you encounter issues running the application right click it and run as administrator. If you still encounter issues ensure your version of .NET Framework is up-to-date. You can try to install from the link in the description.
Soo cracked steam version with the eternal expansion dlc, will that now work?
Mod Manager only accommodates the Steam version but theoretically it should work with any functional, up to date copy of Supreme Commander 2. We'll only support the Steam version with this, of course.
Alright cool thanks also
Hello,
I just downloaded this mod manager so that I could give it a try. However, it asks me to set an installation directory at start-up.
Should I set it to the game's install directory or another directory? The description did not state what it should be.
Anyway, awesome work!
Hello,
Do you have the game installed through Steam? If not then it will want you to choose the Supreme Commander 2 installation directory. The folder you choose should have the the "bin" folder within it.
For example, if you're game's exe was located at:
D:\games\Supreme Commander 2\bin\SupremeCommander2.exe
You should choose as the installation directory:
D:\games\Supreme Commander 2
Yes, I have a legitimate Steam install of the game. I chose C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Supreme Commander 2, but then I get a "Jquery" related error.
I have Net Framework 4.5.1 installed.
Here is a screenshot of the error:

EDIT: Before the error occurred, the manager said it was getting a hash for the gamedata folder within the directory that I specified.
What version of Windows and is it 32-bit or 64-bit flavor?
I am using Windows 7 SP1 64-bit.
In the Mod Manager folder there should be a text filed named "SC2ModManager.txt", could you PM that to me by chance?
Sent.
I am having the same problem. Is there a solution here?

A video guide showing how to install mods for SC2 will be posted up over the weekend.
any chance to create the video
Getting this error message:
The mod Revamp Expansion Mod (RVE) cannot be installed for the following reasons:
Dependency missing: mithy.modsupportminimod with file hash of 85C5E21C473FA9EB237375D589041B C002C9F5E6A946580FC8ECCEBBDCE02CB8
What happened to the old one that worked?
You need to add the mod support mod 1st to the manager its included with RVE, if all fails please watch the install guide found in videos.
Hello, ehem, sorry to bother your time, i've followed your instruction to install the mods. but when i press launch, nothing happen. the game wont even load anymore, can you help me with this?
Does the game start with no mods loaded? try verifying your game files with steam.
In addition to what OverRated posted, check to make sure in Task Manager that there aren't multiple running copies of supreme commander 2. Note that launching the game through Steam and through Mod Manager will do the same thing but launching it through Steam may display more verbose error messages, if there are any.
i got this when pressing Launch button:

Maybe set your game directory before posting errors!!!

As the interface is skinned it uses components from IE9 .
The application uses IE's rendering engine to produce what you see on screen - unfortunately since IE8 is not particularly accommodating with design standards you'll have a host of issues using anything less than IE9. Note that you don't actually open IE... it just needs to be installed.
OK i have done everything and i mean EVERYTHING to try to get this to work, but i keep getting the script error and am absolutely stumped on how to fix this issue. If anyone has any fixes plz post them.
What OS and bit size? have u installed .NET Framework 4.5 and updated your Internet Explorer to version 9 this will only apply to windows 7 users as both these ship with windows 8 and 10.
Win 7 64 bit and yes framework is 4.5. As for IE i dont use it i have it installed but i use chrome so iam assuming that it wont be up to date, ill do that and see if it solves the issue.
It worked. Thx overRated, for anyone else receiving the script error try updating IE to version 9.

Also can you develop a system on Chrome? It's really frustrating that software use Explorer..
So I have a really strange problem here. So When I open the application and set the directory and such i cannot click anything. Any of the buttons like "Add Mod" or "Remove Mod" do not do anything when I click them. i ran it with administrator and made sure I had the right framework. I do not understand why the app is not working. Please help as it is getting quite frustrating.
What os?
This is likely a result of Internet Explorer's script related security settings. If you click START > type 'inetcpl.cpl' (without quotes) and press enter and go to the Security tab, what is the slider set to for Internet and Local intranet?
It was on high. I think i had it on that because internet explorer was messing with me one day. Im guessing it should be set to default?
can someone make Unitport mod into .sc2
i have try it but keep failing
Ill see what i can do to update it for the new mod manager.
Don't really get whats happening with mine, am i doing something wrong?
opened up the file SC2ModManager.exe
message saying set installation directory
browse through my files computer>C>Downloads>steam>steamapps>common> then select supremecommander2 as thats where the bin folder is located
then about 6 error messages come up saying to restart it and a load of system data, and dumps crash dump zips on my desktop.
Honestly I am a complete noob with mods so am i doing something wrong?
LRUK take the latest dump file that should have been created on your desktop and open it up - inside you will find a text file named something similar to SC2MM_crash_log_2016_02_01_20_42_42.log
Please PM me the contents of that log file (not here but in a private message) and ill work with you. Thanks!
