Mmhh.. too long and need some figure. Download just the manual from another PC or smartphone, able to read correctly the PDF. Also.. thereare many free PDF readers on the web.

Didn't know what to think of this at first. Gave it some time and I really like it. Runs rock solid on the GOG version, seems to be well optimized. I may cut the weight carried down somewhat, but that's a personal preference thing, nothing against the mod. I like how the combat is improved, the bandits are a challenge now, being 'smarter' and better armed. Great job, thank you for this.
Dont cut down the weight (though it is a good and right idea), because, as referred in manual, probably you cannot carry enough items to fight in last levels and/or at high difficulties. And, for the whole game, you need more travels to sell items and get money.

Is this compatible with the STALKER Starter pack?
Absolutely no.
So "complete" and no longer receiving updates such as add-ons, additional new features, experimental additions for greater immersion or evolving the game for even more depth/options on how to complete or stay in the zone after the main game has ended? I know there are other games out there that already provide this, just wanted to know if you'd introduce your own version of the STALKER world to all those who still play it. Thank you for making this mod.

Also, I dont understand what you mean for "end".... You can continue, in this mod, after the classic default "end" and do what you want. You have played it or...?
Hi, yes v8.1. Thank you for saying that you'll continue to work on it. "End" meant no additional story lines for the player to take on after the main game has ended. So instead of just open world play, the player could take on new story mode scripts that would take you to previously underused or new maps that the main game/story never had. Meet new NPCs, obtain new items, engage in new game-play modes such as expanded faction wars, survival mode, search and rescue, raid sorties, other random events such as military helicopter assaults or ground extermination squads on stalkers/bandits/mutants. Just a lot more immersion into the zone, I completely agree with your quality over quantity comment, so more or less wanted to know if the mod was finished or if more of the above would be in the works for updated versions of your mod. Apologies for any misunderstandings.

Think I am not eng/usa, so this is not my native language and often i confuse or dont understand all.
From 8.1 to 9.1 many changes (and improvements, under all points of view) have been done in Elite, but dont play it, eventually... Wait for 9.2.
I all add some mutant (probably the chimera) and try to solve, by some workaround, some big (though rare) STALKER default glitch and other...
I know you should like more events and fights and other... after the classic "end", but what I can say...
my time is very short (few?) and I work also on another mod. And to be honest the "real" game is before that end,
or just a bit after (for me...eh?) having the PKM.

Your welcome, I think people should be more respectful and courteous to those that take the time out of their lives to create these mods that other get to experience as variety to an already great game. Naaaa... :) Playing it's more fun than mod it, when mod is good or enough. I am for first thing a "player", and I love fight, also with some difficoult. And after... and eventually... a "modder".
The game crashes after putting the repair localization file into config. If it is deleted the game runs fine (and looks great). It's the US version.
EDIT: Same thing happens with the Spanish version.
About US, no relative US file is in (maybe you mean Eng?). .. so cannot say anything about. About Esp, the file appears perfect and identical to Italian, except the code obviously. It is "esp" and for italian is "ita", example. At least, I know that.
But no.... cannot be regular, because default file (that you are using) miss some necessary strings about language, and then can cause some problem So. I guess.. you have changed some stalker/mod file or "something" has done that or some your confusion in your original stalker about "its" original language.
Anyway and in few words, the Elite "localization.ltx" files need these specific strings in:
stable_repair_dialogs, string_table_s, ui_elite_honor_rank
The mod is great! Bandits are really tough/fast.
Well... happy you dont find them "impossible". What difficulty? for curiosity .
Later.. try to use continue single shots from medium/far distance. And when need or you can ... headshots.
In manual you find many infos about.
And DONT HURRY. Elite requires cold calm (and except when you need fast lethal action) or you die many times.

"Stalker" I suck at these games, but absolutely love the STALKER series.
The military is pounding the rookie village constantly, lot's of weapons/ammo etc. to be sold to Sid.... Unfortunately many dead stalkers.
And yes, I have reloaded many times...
This mod has really gotten me back into the "original" Stalker.

I just edited .LTX files to make armor/weapons not degrade. Just a cheap workaround I guess.
Yes...but in that way you ll have much more money than any "normal" player and as mod requires.
About the escape south mil. post, you have to avoid those. But I guess you provoke them to assault the village and, at the end, you get the items from dead bodies .. so more money always :) . Not good! (at least, for me).
Btw the important thing...if you find it fun, though heavily unbalanced., np.
For a better balance there is anyway a solution: you have to play, at this point and with those changes, only at Master level.
I made them angry while killing the boar camp for Wolf....
I'll just stick to having "crappier" weapons/armor than I could otherwise afford.

So you did need be careful before killing those. Use bino to see where soldiers are and regulate yourself.
For the rest, if you dont hurry and avoid the eventual fire of many enemies vs you, at same time, you can do it... You usually can afford 2/3 max.
(And as I say always... to know ELITE need play it many times)
Anyway Master is very hard, but having more money you can get also more medkits and you really need use them fast. If Master is hard.. go to Veteran and all 'll be better. Stalker.. no! :)
Definitely true, I've bought many medkits....
BTW, the gamedata.exe file is a miracle, so much simpler than database unpackers.

It seems that I simply can't install it? I don't know why? I read the pdf file and did all the steps in the installation text - I can start it, the symbol will start but whenever it enlargens and actually should show all the logos it will crash immediately. Any help?
Too generic and not enough datas. Need a lot of detailed infos about to undestand the reasons.
And by log sent to me, ELITE has not been loaded. Btw I answered you in private too, trying to help. Being you new to STALKER and mods it is almost normal...

I´m kinda disappointed with this mod, the real problem is AI and their HP, they are f*cking tanks, they are walking and running faster, also killing me on one hit on NOVICE difficulty? No, just... no.
updated: I can understand... but for me (and not only me) they are not so hard as you say. And we wrote everywhere about its (relative) high difficulty.
Any reason this cannot just simply be a game-data folder once extracted?
The same reason of all games or programs or... launched by .exe file.
More nice and more order in mod.
ps: do you have some problem installing it?
Does this work with other mods? (I saw manual. I realize big mods would conflict, what about smaller mods like these?)

You can use some other texture mod on it... yes... but be careful:
it must replace ONLY .dds files
ZRP absolutely no... if you dont want crashes/issues and, mainly, lost time.
P.R.Z. can be be good, but I suggest to intall, as referred in Manual, before it and only after ELITE. Anyway, also doing the contrary, it 'll be not a big problem.. And maybe also A.N. (I dont know AS).

Yes.. PRZ for 1° ELITE for 2°.
Forgot.....One reason is: in ELITE there are at least 3 textures "unique" and usefull/necessary; though I dont know, now, if PRZ has also them in. But, installing ELITE for second, you 'll be sure.
If you play it for first time I suggest low diff. and Manual. By the way it need be played many time to "know" it.

Keeps great work you did but improves graphics and keeps female stalkers too.
I don't know which textures are 'better' quality. So if I PRZ -> elite, elite will delete some prz files. I think PRZ textures are better when I took screenshots (https://imgur.com/a/yAX9ZYd)
Hmm, if you tell me which ones are unique I can maybe restore them.
At least these dds: ston_stena_07_d (textures\ston); wm_board_a, wm_board_a_mask and wm_pl_3 (textures\wm).
By the way you did a nice work with screenshots.
"ELITE", anyway, is not an ambiental/nature texture mod. I's a full mod and in less than 450mb :) ... "little" difference.
My preferred is PRZ.
And...I dont suggest the models replacing, because probably many icons in game 'll be wrong. To finish, also if some (and they are very few, comparate to the total) ELITE ambiental/nature texture can be "worse" (...), I suggest the same to install it at the end and on the top of any other mod, as the manual refers.
If I slightly changed many of them, the explanation is always in manual:. to reduce the possible excessive brightness, due the higher lightness (also by torch, example).

I guess now it's just a random issue, always IF you have not changed/added/used anything on ELITE and having the mod requirements.
PS: I think effectively you have changed something in that specific weapon .ltx, then... that issue.
Regular Elite fully works.
A way to correctly display Polish subtitles(it worked for me):
-go to localization.ltx
-change font_prefix = _cent
