Thank you very much!!! I was waiting for these maps on pc more than 10 years )
Thank you very much again for this magnificent gift for all HL community
You are very welcome! I just want the community to be able to enjoy these lost relics as I do.
Amazing addon !! Perfect for my custom opposing force mod with bot and CTF game type. I have created many waypoint for dm and CTF maps :)
Update May 9th, 2018: Replaced dm_pumpkin and dm_santa with the proper original released models from Valve, rather than the community edited versions.
Thanks for the map pack.
Hi, i have downloaded and put it into the correct folder. where do i go from there? how do i play on the maps
From the menu in Half-Life you go to create server and select your desired map. Alternatively you can use the "Find Server" browser in game to see if someone is hosting your map of choice. Or you can also type in the dev console "map *map name here*".
This addon is awesome! Especially I like "ps2signal" and "dm_cloister17" maps - they look great.
It's quite unexpectedly to see more new official maps than Further Data and Opposing Force ones.
Several issues with this content pack.
* Map dm_office.bsp includes a lot of textures that users already have in halflife.wad. There is an updated version here (https://www.moddb.com/games/half-life/addons/office-complex-dreamcast-dm-officebsp) that strips the redundant textures for a 225kb filesize reduction.
* Most of the PS2 the player model previews don't display right - they are 24-bpp images but should be 8bpp paletted instead. Note that some of the palette entries are special cased for player color adjustment.
* The PS2 maps contain full copies of the textures. It might make sense to place these into a common hlps2.wad file instead.
* Some PS2 maps refer to entities that don't exist in PC HLDM (or need a new name, etc):
. ps2datacore2 has bad entities "item_recharge" and "item_healthcharger"
. ps2snark_pit2 has multiple bad "item_healthcharger" entities
. ps2stalkyard2 has bad entities "item_recharge" and "item_healthcharger"
* Map dm_cloister17.bsp:
. refers to a non-existent skybox "day" (dayrt, dayft, etc) and failing that it defaults to the standard desert.
. has non-existent entities "light_glspot" (Source?? maybe should be light_spot?) and "info_texlights" (really should be stripped entirely)
* Map doublecross.bsp calls for a sound file "ambience/mechwine.wav" that does not exist (it is spelled "mechwhine.wav" in HL) - either the .bsp should have the name corrected in entity section, or a copy of mechwhine should be provided with the "wrong" name as well
* Map ps2debris refers to missing sky "sky_blu_" (sky_blu_rt, sky_blu_ft...) - this is an Op4 and/or Blueshift skybox and needs inclusion for HLDM
* Map ps2stalkyard2 has no info_player_start
* Map warez_dm has some bad func_button entities
Inserted func_button with no model
Inserted func_button with no model
Inserted func_button with no model
Speaking of which, any maps that have more content should also have .res files that include themselves and the additional files.
Wow, I knew the PS2 maps had minor issues due to the file converter I used but I was not aware of all of the other issues. Unfortunately I did not actually create any of these maps; I simply converted the ps2 maps using a program on github called BS2 to PC and as for the other maps, I included them for preservation purposes. My Hammer and mapping knowledge is very limited and I do not have the required skill to fix these issues. You're welcome to try yourself if you want, or contact the original map creators listed in the credits. I'm sorry that I couldn't be of more help but this was purely a little fun compilation that I put together.
No problem. This comment came off more critical than I intended... I was just trying to catalogue some issues I noted. Thanks so much for pulling all this together in one place. It's a great resource.
You're welcome! I'm glad I could bring you and the rest of the HL community enjoyment from it.
have you tried this version of BS2PC? Github.com
maybe it can help you fix those issues
Thanks, the maps have been updated to reflect the latest fixes!
Some of these models are fan made. The PS2 models are the ambient impact ones, not the original deathmatch ones from the PS2 deathmatch
the original BS2PC got an update 10 months ago that did a full rework of it's code.
I think it's time for a new update on the maps don't you think?

Thanks for the info! The maps have now been updated!
