you should've left the original sounds too
easy fix if you backed up your stuff, just copy and paste "menu.ogg" back into the music folder.
in fact you can use any song you want as long as its .ogg and 44100 bit rate.

ahhh ****.
when i finish the sound mod (this will be included in it) ill actually include that with it. thats a good idea. only issue i see is the video isnt very long and the sound has to be a separate file that only plays once then stops. so itll only play once then be silent...and if i extend it itll get out of sync.
either way ill figure it out.

i dont play anomaly but im sure i could make it work.
best bet is to try to find the name of the video they use for their menu screen, and rename my file to that, overwrite the anomaly one and it should work.
ALSO try dragging and dropping JUST the video...maybe its the UI editing thats ******* it up.
Crash was from a different mod,whoops.After fixing that game opened normally but mod wasn't working at all like i never installed it
Mod didn't override anything when installing so i searched the textures folder aand it doesn't have any files named actor main menu or background and i couldn't find any default background picture/videos either.All the other things like inventory,loading screens,encyclopedia pics are there but no main menu stuff.
I guess watching it after near 10 years is enough too

yeah dude to know what file you need to overwrite youd have to unpack the DB files.

Unpacked it,found the old start menu(the shot from outskirts safehouse)and the original CoC vid but not the current one.I'm really bad at this sorta stuff.
I gave up at this point but if anyone can figure this out i'd be grateful
dont worry man...we are all bad at this ****...and its just a huge pain in the *** hahaha.

Oh **** it was such a pain in th ***.
I ended up finding an OGV to OGM converter (or vice Versa) after a SHITLOAD of googling. It also compressed the video down to the proper size for stalker. I’ll see if I can scrape it back up but it was a command line program. And it was a pain hahaha
