I have a concept for a new storyline mod since several years, this is the story of the first stalker in the zone, the pioneer.

So, yes, the idea was to remove all factions and reduce by x100 factor the human population, except the military, the ecolog & few mercs.

from the lore of stalker, who was the first person in the zone? does anybody know? i thought it was guide being the first if not one of the first in the zone along with sid but not sure.

well, he was already in the zone. the first guy in the zone will probably be a scientist with a group of soldiers, guide the first stalker in the zone.

Forested was already living in the forest before the start but he is not the first stalker in the zone since the zone didn't include the forest at first x) .

I remember this now.
I'd love to play the Zone with only a few npc and savage beast everywhere else.

I'd like... no, love to see this. I've often dreamed of a zone without most/all of the stalkers in it.

I always play CoC with low respawn for npc, and a lot of monsters.

I do too. But it's not enough. There's still too many stalkers. I'd like to be totally alone with nobody else around, like the first (good) half of I Am Legend.

If you could expand this to use the spawn factors per faction and per mutant species, and give an option for 0 anyone could tune the zone as they see fit on the fly.

That sounds awesome, but I bet it would be really hard to do. The Xray engine is a clusterfuck to work with that I've heard

I kinda like the idea, the Zone is pretty crowded at times, which ruins the atmosphere now and then, specially when it is a mutant orgy with a spice of monolith if you know what i mean... They all come togheter, that can **** u off not only because of the amount of enemies at once but also the variety(chimeras, zombies, stalkers, dogs, wildcats, etc), playing ironman is hellish impossible in moments like this, and throw tension out of the window and replace with frustration and oversaturation.
In my opnion, stalkers are ok, maybe reduce their spawn a bit in overal non-camp locations but keep their group numbers as it is in "check points" and such, but less common to encounter roaming around, maybe traveling in big groups(4 or 5 maybe) depending of the faction. Common mutants like dogs and wildcats, zombies i think is ok too, they are usually around inhabited points of interests. But the more rare mutants like controllers, giants, fcking chimeras, burers, their should be a more menacing encounter, but also much less frequent other than fixed spawns.
Maybe i just describe exactly as it is now, maybe i didnt but it would be impossible to tweak some things to meet my preferences, a stalker can dream at least... I love the hardcore nature of this game, but sometimes some tough situations goes from "Zone: Oh i got you with your pants down? too bad, deal with 3 snorks and some bloodsuckers plus zombies fast cause a burer just heard you fart" to "deal with 3 snorks and some bloodsuckers plus zombies fast cause a burer, some bandits and a mercenary squad just heard you fart and DONT LOOK NOW A CHIMERA JUST JUMPED AT YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION!! and yes that is a controller", dont even need to mention the monoliths, you know they were the ones the pulled your pants down. Jesus i typed way too much im out

Sounds like some people prefer CoC as a walking simulator..lol. Wasn't this the main complaint of Lost Alpha, when it first came out? Not enough A-life and empty areas. I'm sure I'll get downvotes for saying this, but this addon makes zero sense to me.

Does this work for Shadow of Chernobyl? Could you make one for SoC, please? I'm new to STALKER, and I want to explore a bit without the fear of three bloodsuckers stalking me in Pripyat. I just want to play the game as if it was Metro, but without monsters. Just fighting other factions for the territory of Chernobyl!

Finally! This is what I've been looking for so long. Not because mutants scare me or something, but because I want some Tarkovy experience on my crappy laptop xD
(Even tho I had anomaly before on a better pc I had, for which there's no mod like this one sadly)
