Yes, we're recruiting! We are looking for texturers that are willing to work on this mod for the civilizations that are still unfinished. Also, voice actors for the new civilizations!

Posted by on

The title of this News Post should make it more than clear. Yes, we're looking for help to complete this mod. No, don't worry, it's no cancelled, but as you may see from our rate of progress we are somewhat overtaxed, and some more help never comes bad.

The direct cause of this post however was the fact that our main texturer, Alex Julio, had to quit to pursue his career, jobs must come before hobbies after all, and with that we'd been left with a great big hole in our team, there's simply no one completly dedicated to texturing now, and given that all the other team members are already busy with their own tasks, this is a problem that may delay the already snail-pace of our mod even more.

This is why we're asking our fan community for help. Preferably, we're looking for someone who has had experience texturing units for this game, though any texturers are welcome, there's enough tutorials out there for people that is interested, and our team would gladly guide you through the process to give constructive criticism and get the unit textures up to the standards of the mod.

Modellers are also welcome, yet you're advised that so far, nobody has figured out how to succesfully import fully animated models into the game, that's not meant as a discouragement necesarily, as many breakthroughs in the modding of this game have been made recently, so hey, maybe you can make the difference in the AoE3 Modding Community!

As a side note, we're also always looking for voice actors!

As you may know, this mod features civilizations from all over the world and this of course means that the units coming from these civs need their own voicesets. Of course, some languages and accents are easier to come by than others (compare American English with, say, Amhara), yet the sheer number of units this mod includes means that volunteers are always welcome to provide new soundsets that can be featured in units present in the mod.

So, if you're willing to volunteer to voiceact, just shoot me a PM and I'll provide you a quick guide of what we're looking for in an unit voiceset, as you may imagine, it's nothing fancy, just a quick few lines in your mother language, and the more languages you speak, the better!

We're particularly interested in people who can speak languages from the Balkans or Africa, while also looking for Korean voice actors, various South American Native American Languages, and of course many regional dialects of Spanish and English.

Any interested parties feel free to send me a PM with the details of what you're interested in doing and if you've got prior experience. It's not a requirement, but it's preferable. In case you're a voice actor, send me the details of the language you speak and the civilization you are intending to make the voiceset of the unit(s).

Well, Australian and New Zealand, any from the United States, Scottish, English, Canadian, most would work really.

Here are the exact details, but it's mostly what you'd usually expect of the Order/Move/Attack set of answers your units always make:

Ok, I'll try and record something. My mic isn't great though. I also see you have Polish, I can do that as well if you want.

Yes, we've got Polish Immigrants units too, so it can be helpful. Please try to get good quality recordings... otherwise they may end up being useless.

Yes, it'd be particularly helpful for the chinese immigrants that will be featured in some Latin American civilizations.
