Announcing Edain 4.3: Of Iron and Frost
Greetings, Companions of Edain!
It's December, winter is upon us, so what better time to announce the Angmar faction for Edain? Today we can reveal that the Witch-king's realm will be at the center of the upcoming Edain version 4.3, titled "Of Iron and Frost".
This version will take you into the deepest north of Middle-earth and into a kingdom carved out of the frozen wastes, built on sacrifice and forged into a weapon to bring down the lands of Men. Angmar is one of the most varied factions in the game: You will lead hordes of Orcs and Hillmen, supported by wolves, sorcerers and fearsome barrow-wights. But the Witch-king's greatest assets are the Men of Carn Dûm, traitorous Dunedain who have turned from the fallen lands of Rhudaur and Cardolan to follow the Iron Crown. Among the evil factions, they stand out as a formidable and disciplined fighting force and bring with them knowledge of stonework and machines. This makes Angmar the only evil faction to build castles just as imposing as those of the free peoples.
To lead Angmar to victory, you will have to master their varied arsenal of units and utilize some of the most unique heroes in the game, including the High Sorcerer Gulzar who steals the abilities of enemy heroes and the fanatical warrior Zaphragor who casts spells by sacrificing his own health. While Angmar is the faction with the least source material in Tolkien's lore, it has always kept a special place in our hearts because we had to fill that gap with ideas and interpretations of our own to create a faction that felt unique and still true to Middle-earth. An example of this would be an increased emphasis on barrow-wights, an otherwise sparely used element of the lore. We can't wait to share this faction with you and add a mighty new force of evil into Edain!

Toil for the Iron Crown!
I am so happy to see the Angmar faction, this looks so awesome. I am kinda bummed that the Misty Mountains faction is delayed but still, more evil factions sounds great to me. Still I have to wonder, are you guys still planning on finishing the Misty Mountains faction after releasing the Angmar faction or are you going to save the Misty Mountains faction for last due to the complications of getting the faction to work by technical standards?
It's not really possible to precisely determine, at the moment, which faction between the now-remaining two will be next after Angmar, unless you get an exact statement from the Edain Team itself soon, which is a possibility that I doubt a bit.
But, as you already pointed out yourself, the Misty Mountains are indeed the least completed faction, and the faction has by itself more complicated technical and gameplay mechanics compared to other ones.
And, we shouldn't also forget that this same faction has been kind of newly rebuilt from its foundations, with the addition and replacement of completely innovative aspects and elements ;)
Significant and innovative changes as what we could behold for Lothlórien/Mirkwood, but definitely on a higher degree :)

Where can one download an original digital copy of both BFME II and BFME II Rise of the witch king?
There is no legal way to download the games. There are a few illegal, but very famous links, which can be easily found with google. But Bfme only exists legally as DVDs and they are really expensive, as EA Games stopped producing them a few years ago. :/

I have a question, concerning the misty mountains. will the horn used in five armies by azog, and also the "emergency siren' horn used by bolg at gundabad be utilized in any way, and I'm not asking how, just whether or not it will be used. If it isn't currently planned and the idea sounds nice I will be happy to provide the sounds if wanted.
the horn that was used by azog belongs to dul guldor so it belongs to Mordor not Misty Mountains , its a good idea indeed but i dont think this will happen becouse they didnt add dul guldor's horn in Mordor
Mordor already has more awesome horns from the original lotr for everything.
Of course Edain team doesn't mind anyone cutting and processing appropriate sounds^^
