Description
Developed for defense of the Bilbringi shipyards, the Watchtower-class frigate was a heavily modified version of the Nebulon B. Intended for use as a corvette/cruiser interceptor, the Watchtower is extremely well armored, shielded, fast for its size and armed with 4 dual medium
turbolaser turrets and 3 dual laser turrets.

That name got me thinking of "All Along the Watchtower" from Battlestar Galactica.

You cut the middle out of the standard EF76..... Very clever.
Also the large and easy to hit dangly bit..... It is a very good design plan And I will certainly be using them to death.
Now this is different, you got rid of the Nebulon B's weak point which from a design perspective is a good thing.
That...is disgusting. But cool, I must admit.
So would this be used by the Empire, it seems logical that they would mod some leftover Nebulon B's to beef up defenses in what was a crucial shipyard in that era, espically under Thrawns direction who loved to beef up Imp tech, i.e. put shields on tie interceptors
