Maybe you could have it so that on remnant planets you can build Imperial Stuff and then on New Republic/Galatic Alliance Planets you build their stuff and then they can play together? Cause it would be a bit strange if they were still fighting each other and they became one with the GA anyway :) Just an idea

Is that the actual game model? If so it looks really great!
All of our pictures of textured units are taken in aloviewer, so yes ,it is actual game model.
i personally think in a alternate universe where the Imperials won the galactic civil war they would of easy defeated the vong with their superior army and superweapons
i think they would have won if there was no galactic civil war, or only a very small one. i think they would have won if Han Solo didn't go back, Vader hit Luke, Yavin exploded, and the big snow ball. simply because they had a better line of ships, and with their vast amount of ship yards, could have produced them faster. the stunned government would have been circumvented, and they would have all the ships and people there at once. the Vong knew the the Star Destroyers (Traingle Ships) were better, and whats worse than 100000 of them?
however, the Rebellion winning let superior commanders (Kre'fey, bel Iblis, Wedge Antilles) and Jedi come about.

PS the army/fighter corps advantage i think went to the Rebellion, and the Navy having better commanders with slightly worse ships (at least on the Destroyer/Capital group)
Actually one reason Palpatine emphasized mostly on the Imperial Navy was because he knew the Vong were coming. Before the Clone Wars or even Episode 1 he found a scouting party and thats how he found out. But us I agree with you that the Imperial Forces would be able to take on the Vong with no problem. :)
Its like every day I read something star wars related I learn something new
i think its alittle of a strecth to say that the allaince had better commanders becuase look at guys like thrawn and pellioen (i know i didn't spell that right) they were great commanders and didn't have to relie on jedi or special forces the fact that they were a threat to the new republic even with what they had was impresive and if they hadn't asscoiatd themselves at all with the norgri or sith they would still be alive to crush the new republic and the rebel scum once and for all
Will Remnant be playable and will Pellaeon be with Remnant?
