The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

Looks like GDI's mechs are more akin to that of Metal Gear Rex than anything.

Well I did base the model off of the Metal Gear Rex (its obvious in the model) and it also follows the Rex Roll in the field (A way to launch WMD on the field that is not only mobile but also next to impossible to figure out where the attack came from).

Only if 1. It fit a direct need in both its design and roll and 2. It was not something simply there for fan service. Doug and I both felt that there was a need for a unit like the Rex but as for what it directly looked like Doug allowed me to use my design instead of his (I don't want to get into trying to animate 4-legged mobile armors at this point, I have enough trouble getting a decent looking 2 legged animation with the Gundam Units).

Having said that, I don't see Transformers ever making it into this mod lol. :)

Description

Some updated picks of our most ambitious design for GDI yet, the new SDI Gear design. The Gear is a mobile Ion Cannon Command Center with 2 major features. The Primary use is the same as an Ion Command Center, granting the player a second Ion Strike ability which is useable even if the player switches the Ion Command over to the Orbital Command. The second designed to deploy atmospheric satellites into the field which then can call in ion strikes on enemy units. It does this by launching a drone caring the sat into high orbit, on its way back down it deploys the satellite into the field. The 2 major downsides to this is that it can not fire these drones when there are enemies near it, this is a unit that can only fight from a distance.

The Sats are good for 30 seconds before they explode. GDI has learned its lesson from history, and it does not want a functional one of these to be able to fall into enemy hands and for this reason they explode making sure nothing salvageable is left.

Here are pics of the sat system up and running, there are a few ways for us to do the other aspect of the unit, we will just have to explore each way and figure out which is best for in-game use.
