Pretty simple, you get to play WW1 instead of WW2. You can start in 1910 and fight your way through the Italian-Ottoman war and the Balkan wars, or jump straight into the action in January 1914 in preparation for the main event. The events, leaders, ministers, governments, orders of battle, tech tree, units, graphics, game mechanics and AI have all been rewritten. Game features include: Units will dig in much more effectively meaning stalemates happen much more frequently to simulate trench warfare. Naval battles are more action packed as Dreadnoughts clash and there are (nearly) no aircraft carriers. Military aviation is in it's infancy but quickly becomes more important as the war progresses The mod includes stormtroopers, zeppelins, gas warfare and submarines Special scenarios for the Spring Offensive and Gallipoli campaign

Help WW1 never starts in my games. As I played as a non-entente and non central powers nation like japan, 1914 came and went and the c-powers kept on DOW the Ottomans and then there would be a stalemate in the Balkans.

A good first game is probably the 1914 start, much more likely to have historical outcomes

Serbia still exists and its 1918 and I think the assassination event did not trigger because of the Italians being allied with the c-powers causing them to join the Italians in the Italian-Ottoman war. I believe the event doesn't trigger if the c-powers are at war since in vanilla HOI3 when I played as Spain the Spanish Civil War event did not trigger because I was at war.

I hade same problem- c-powers join to the Italian-Ottoman war. in this situation you must delete
alliance = {
first = ITA
second = AUH
start_date = 1910.1.1
end_date = 1914.8.1
in save for continue game(save before war) or in file ww1mod v 09/history/diplomacy/Alliances - for new game

Extract the files from the archieve into your "mod" folder in the "tfh" folder of the "Their Finest Hour" official HoI3 DLC folder.

Makes sure to keep not only the WWI mod content folder in but also the "ww1.mod" file as it is needed for activation. Then you will need to run in from the TFH's mod launcher menu.

Am i supposed to start out with abseloutely no IC? if i put the required IC in supplies and consumer goods i have nothing left for production, reinforment, or upgrades. why is the IC so low?

Austria starts out with 69 IC, barely enough to produce enough supplies are consumer goods. how am i supposed to build and upgrade my armies with no IC?

ok, the Italian ottoman Dow from Germany/Austria is an AI issue... came up with a patch to fix:

put this into script/diplomacy an overwrite the existing file.

Basically it stops call to arms for allies

I have the Problem that if i play Austrian-Hungary i can`t build mountain infanrty. With the version 0.8 i can build it and i cant find the failure, do you have the same problems with austrian-hungary? With the german empire or the other nations i do not have this problem

Can you make it so that Bulgaria only loses the Balkan war if certain conditions are met? Because I was winning and when the event popped up I automatically lost. I just thought that it was annoying.

every time I try to play with this version it crashes 5-7 minutes into the game, no specific trigger, can be clicking on a unit, or just no reason. It is on both scenarios, and custom games

At first I thought that I had to extract it, but when I went to go do it the option to extract it never came up. Obviously I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know what. Any suggestions?

Thanks for this mod. I have some sugesstions espesially about fall events of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Ottomans, and about some events of russian civil war and polish-bolshevik war. I have even already made some changes in them as i was playing with may friend so i could help with thoese events. As a person who likes historical scenarios i cant stand when firstly russian empire disappears after losing in ww1 and then when german empire lose too, instead of poland on territories which german occupied again appears rusian empire which is compleately ahistorical and it doesnt have sense. This happens because in german fall event first country for which german gives its provinses in the east is russian empire. It make sense when russian empire wins the war and take their core provinces in the germany but not when russian empire lost the war. Maybe there should be two events of german fall first when russian empire exists and second when when it doesnt. Or in the event should be something like that that if russian empire exists it gets it cores and any other country like poland or lithuania arent even mentioned , and if russian empire doesnt exist thoese cores gets poland lithuania and other countries. I want write about other things there but if some people working on this mod wants to hear my other sugestions or maybe want to see what i did with some problems i faced please write Artomczy@gmail.com and i promise i will help if i can.

I skimmed through but didn't see any mention of it so far. I've tried playing as Ottoman empire so far and this is what I've found. When Italy starts the event to start war in hopes of gaining Libya, they're still allied with AH and GER. I believe this was a "limited war" between Italy and the Ottomans, however German and AH forces start plowing through the Balkans and even landing in mainland Turkey. I tried this twice in both custom and regular settings in the 1910 scenario on hard difficulty. Another issue I noticed was a severe supply issue. I had nearly 90% of my IC in supplies just to keep up even with all my techs up to date or ahead.

hi. thanks for this mod but i have a problem.When Italy kingdom declared war to ottoman empire , Austria-Hungary declare war to ottoman empire. because they are allied(italy and Austria-Hungary). so ottoman empire not joining to c.powers. please help.

I have 2 problems.
1st problem is that I have events and decisions from original HoI3(Re-occupation of Rheinland,Blitzkrieg...)
2nd problem is Spain revolution.There aren't nationalists and republicans.
There is only white area.
Sorry for my English(I'm not from English speakin country).
