This mod changes every nation (including Japan) to have modified and added units to their lines, and many changes to the game's gameplay, from large lines of infantry and tanks, to more accurate and deadly close-range cannons, to more strategic biplane dogfighting, and much more to come.
The mod is currently being worked on by 2 people, Techiastronamo and Swing. It will be some time before it is completed, however, you can follow the progress in the mod's news. Hopefully it will be completed within the end of 2015. It will be released as a free mod, and hopefully will get Eugen's and Ubisoft's attention to RUSE to bring it back to life.
In a nutshell: It changes everything to be themed to WW1 and changes gameplay to be more strategic.
To request anything, please message Techiastronamo to his Steam account (Techiastronamo) or his email (techiastronamo@gmail.com)!
Notice: Expect huge changes to the mod, it is not completed yet and is in heavy development. Do not take anything shown of the mod to be final in the completion of the mod.
I accidentally left the mod hanging for about a month, but I am returning to work. I am resetting my progress since it was messy and I actually made barely any changes. I am currently working with my friend, SuperCrumpets, on new maps for our mods. I also have a historian helping me keep everything historically accurate, and he even created a document for what units should be in what nation and what nations should be actually included in the mod.
In a nutshell, we have a historian with us, new maps, and a game plan!
Beginning work on a tank overhaul! We are also making plans for the first alpha release of the mod and we are working on many other things!
We are now beginning to work on the mod, looking at different units to see if they fit in the mod, and changing the values of the units to fit correctly...
Not giving up, just having technical difficulties with the suite as we are experimenting with the changing of ingame models.

so ya gave up
any news on modding?
Stopped development because it's just too impossible to accomplish something like this with the poor tools we have right now...
Yes Yes Yes! Ruse is awesome and it is great you guys are doing this. Could I provide help on historical details or something as I am somewhat knowledgeable about World War I.
I think he said he already has an historian helping him with the mod.
While I do have a few historians helping me with historical parts for the game, I am always open to suggestions and more information!
I've been talking to Supercrumpets and he said it is somewhat impossible to add units into the game. Have you found a way to add units?
Adding new units is impossible at the moment, but it is possible to change a unit completely to a different unit, effectively making it a "new" unit.
