A mod for Victoria 2 HOD that adds several new game mechanics, UI improvements, and extra starting bookmarks.

Description

Checksum IYDG after 2nd startup. Hungary now exists as a puppet of Austria in 1836 with an event to declare independence in 1848. Austria-Hungary can form Danubian Federation and gain Romanian, Slovene, Slovak, and Croatian as accepted cultures. Made Copenhagen a canal province which means ships cannot pass through it unless they are on friendly or neutral terms with the controller of Copenhagen. Created a new ghost country tag to handle ghost country events and fixed a bug which would sometimes turn countries into uncivilized once they got annexed.

Hey, I am concerned that france might be a bit overbuffed.. you gave them more military as i saw in the files and the ranks, and you removed the industry of Prussia together with their military.. Im worried that this isnt historical at all, I've seen france taking russia or even the Uk.. eh im not sure if this should be like that, and also france ALWAYS *destroys* germany and the UK, im not even kidding, they had 2k military by 1860

France has 62 possible brigades and 106 mobilized compared to Prussia's 60 possible brigades and 23 mobilized in 1836 vanilla. In my mod France has 62 possible brigades and 40 mobilized and Prussia has 62 possible brigades and 37 mobilized brigades (AI Prussia gets a mobilization buff, its only 22 mobilized brigades when played by a human). Prussia has 8 starting industry in vanilla and 6 in my mod, which makes no difference. Prussia also gets a buffed Prussian General Staff modifier when they research army decision making and a free +4/+4 general. Maybe you are comparing my mod to HPM, which gives Prussia significantly more buffs, but I certainly didn't nerf Prussia's starting military. It's just that HPM buffed Prussia so much that its guaranteed to win against France.

The only reason you probably see Prussia die more is because AI France usually allies AI Russia and Prussia never allies Austria so it has to fight 2 front war at the same time, but I gave AI Prussia several events to form Germany even if it loses to France/Russia so you should still see Germany in most of your games.

As for the 2k mil score, do you have a screenshot? Unless something got bugged no country should have that high score in 1860.

Hi, I saw with the lost of India (now it's a puppet), by the united kingdom, they got a lot weak, usualy stands in 6th military rank, what mess with their role as "world dominant power", and you can easily pass the ENG rank in the start of mid game as france/germany.
I think would be great if you made a decision to annex the east india company, as ocurred historically in 1874.

You must put events finish the companies of UK to form the nations of Canada, New Zealand, Australia
and India with events but after all is a good mod

Is Serbia becoming sattelite to Russia after Serbia wins a war against Ottomans with Russia as their ally intentional or is it a bug?

As far as I know, because I play this mod a lot - Serbia can become a satellite when fulfilling the decision of Greater Serbia - to sphere Osman and Serbia (4 regions)
