It's been a long time...

Our team now abandoned the idea of HL2 TC (total conversion) mod, which means we will change this into a Black Mesa mod. See you next update.

Official Discord server coming soon.

This guy is probably going to monetize this mod, just like the greedy Black Mesa Source developers. If you want to avoid a money trap, avoid this mod at all costs.

At first they had no intent to sell it because they couldn't. It was a remake of Half-Life. Valve came to them and told them that they could sell the game and that's what they did.

Ok no. Why are you calling the BMS Devs greedy? Because they ask for money for their hard work? Oh the horror.

If they were asking for money, they would open up a paypal account and ask for donations like most modders do. These wise guys in the BMS team instead think of themselves as better than their peers by demanding money to play their mediocre mod. This is just opening the door for every modder out there to charge ludicrous amounts of money for garbage that anyone can make.

"If they were asking for money, they would open up a paypal account and ask for donations like most modders do."
That's what they are ******* doing. You can still get the game for free on their website Blackmesasource.com. The steam early access is a donation option to help the devs finish the game. And if they sold it standalone who cares. What's wrong with a mod becoming a standalone game. You do realize Counter Strike was a mod right? Along with homefront,The Stanley Parable and day of defeat. You can but those games of steam right now.

"These wise guys in the BMS team instead think of themselves as better than their peers by demanding money to play their mediocre mod."
Its not a mod anymore. Its a great game made by talented developers. But obviously they are "greedy" because their game is on green light. Grow up. That's not how the world works. And guess what they are not even demanding you to pay for their game. They are not shoving it down your throat. You can still get the mod version. FOR FREE Blackmesasource.com

"This is just opening the door for every modder out there to charge ludicrous amounts of money for garbage that anyone can make."
This statement is just dumb. How is this opening the door for bad games. The way I see it. Its an oppertunity for young talented developers to start their dream. And to get paid by their work. Also BM doesn't even cost that much.

In conclusion I don't think you appreciate art and talented developers. That's sad dude.

But you see, none of these "games" were excellent to begin with. Stanley parable is a live-action novel worshiped by dweebs who have never read a good book in their lives, DoD is dying because of awful admins, and counter strike has a massive fanbase of crybabies who can't B-hop. None of these "games" encourage enjoyment in their respective communities.

As for BMS, it's the same way. How people can hail such a glitch-fest as a "game" is beyond me. There's no fun in sinking through the floor or being killed by artillery while obviously under cover, yet the developers still act as if their mod is exceptional enough to be sold for a pretty penny. How is this making anyone happy aside from the devs? People are losing money for a game that is nearly unplayable at this state.

"This statement is just dumb." No, your statement is dumb. BMS is in early access and is being sold for the price of an indie game. Other amateur modders are going to see their success and try to get their horrible mods greenlit so they can get some quick cash, too. All they have to say is that their "game" is in early access, and suddenly the community will be alright with buying trash that is never going to get fixed.

By the way, I do appreciate talented developers, but only when they're humble about themselves. The team that made Nehrim could've demanded money for a complete game, but they didn't. Same goes with the creator of Underhell. Both of these mods are beyond exceptional and are even original stories, so what makes the BMS team so much better?

“But you see, none of these "games" were excellent to begin with. Seriously? Just because there is a game that you don’t like doesn’t discourage the fact that it is a game. What about Team Fortress? That was a mod once. Now it’s a game
“As for BMS, it's the same way. How people can hail such a glitch-fest as a "game" is beyond me.”

BM is glitchy? You sure about that. I played it just recently. It played fine to me. I had a blast. People hail it because people appreciate hard work. The developers are not robots. They are just like you and me. They have jobs, families, girlfriends, boyfriends. They worked their *** off on this game. That’s why people hail it.

“There's no fun in sinking through the floor”
Lol thats a new problem. I never heard that before. You sure you are talking about Black Mesa?

“or being killed by artillery while obviously under cover”

Another problem I never encountered. Lol you probably weren't even in cover lol and like I said. Report it to the developers. They will help you.

“yet the developers still act as if their modis exceptional enough to be sold for a pretty penny”

You can still get the mod version for free. Blackmesasource.com and guess what moron. Its not a mod. It’s a game. A mod requires a base game. Black Mesa is standalone, But hey you can still get the mod version for free. I think you are complaining over nothing.
“How is this making anyone happy aside from the devs? People are losing money for a game that is nearly unplayable at this state.”

People are happy with this game. They appreciate hard work that went into this game. You treating the game like its the devel of early access. And it plays fine for most people.

"This statement is just dumb." “No, your statement is dumb”.

No your statement is dumb. You clearly don’t know what the **** you are talking about.

“BMS is in early access and is being sold for the price of an indie game”

BM is cheap compared to other games on Early Access. Take a look and you can find games on EA that cost way more than an average indie game. So why do you care about BM.
.
“Other amateur modders are going to see their success and try to get their horrible mods greenlit so they can get some quick cash too All they have to say is that their "game" is in early access, and suddenly the community will be alright with buying trash that is never going to get fixed.”

Again how is that relevant to Black Mesa? Black Mesa is more than an opportunity than a scam. You should know the difference. Black Mesa is a labour of love. Black Mesa gets updated/ Scam games are there to waste your time. Scam games has barely any effort into them. Scam games never gets updated

“By the way, I do appreciate talented developers",
No you don't. If you do you won't even care if a mod becomes a game sold on steam. As long as the effort is worth it.

"but only when they're humble about themselves. The team that made Nehrim could've demanded money for a complete game, but they didn't”

I am starting to notice something here. You just don’t like Black Mesa because it has a price tag? Do I need to link you this again Blackmesasource.com You can still get Black Mesa for free. Now the BM devs are moving to bigger better things. Like making their mod into a game. How is that a bad thing. As long if the effort was worth it. And it was people loved it. Valve gave them the approval to sell the game.
.

” Same goes with the creator of. Both of these mods are beyond exceptional and are even original stories, so what makes the BMS team so much better?”

I never said they were better. Infact there is a difference between them. Black Mesa is a full on remake of Half-Life. Underhell is not a remake. You should be able to tell the difference.
