Minor update 1/14/23
Having rescued Hera Syndulla from imperial imprisonment, Kanan Jarrus, Jedi Night, leads a desparate defense to ensure her survival. Heavily outnumbered and with limited air support in Lothal's industrial sector, he knows that he will not survive the battle and will need to sacrifice himself to save his allies.
Minor update 1/14/23 changelog:
-minor pathing fixes
-barrier fix stopping atst from running into walls
-fixed issue where you could clip through the floor on part of the prison
-made it at least theoretically possible for ai to use the awings and turrets on top of the buildings without screwing up the planning, though in testing they have very rarely used either
-Tried to fix issue with one cp being capturable from outside its building
Hello all, I hope you enjoy! A little late Christmas present for everyone, which I finished early than expected due to an unfortunately timed COVID isolation. I spent a lot of time getting the objects and collision to work properly, and I think it turned out fairly well. NOTE: CW is functional, but not as polished and not heavily tested.
This map is based on the episode Jedi Night of SW Rebels season 4. Aside from the scale of the battle, I tried to stay fairly canonical: Kanan is without his mask, Ezra and Sabine are in imperial pilot uniforms (unfortunately couldn't manage a prison outfit for Hera) and Zeb, Kallus, Rex, etc. are absent. This is technically the "smallest" trench war map so far, with only 60-75 units per team, but because the urban setting is fairly condensed, it is a quite intense battle. Screenies follow below

KNOWN BUGS'
-Ai wont go into the t1b or awings/vulture droids. Idk what's wrong with the t1b, but for the awings it's unavoidable, as there is a cp in the building underneath, and if I don't block the ai from reaching that platform with the awings, it will completely screw up the planning for the lower level.
-ATATS sometimes get stuck. Is fixed upon map restart or upon destroying it and it respawning
-AI often get stuck in various places. Common in large maps like this, especially with multiple levels of pathing (ie, below the fuel pods and on the fuel pod scaffolding). I did my best to minimize it, and may make further improvements if an update is ever made
-Not a glitch, but rather a consequence of the level design and the way swb2 works, it's annoyingly easy to get stuck between ai on the narrow fuel pod scaffolding or in the urban trenches
-You can clip out of the forklift thing, but the external collision seems to work, so it still makes effective cover. It's a stock asset, not mine :)
-There is one part of the prison building where you can clip through the floor and fall to the lower level, but there is a turret there so once built it will block off that part anyway

Dude... Dude... DUUUUUDE... Your maps are incredible!!! Rebels' maps are the BEST imo!!! This map though... As I reached the middle Fuel Container's top while playing Kanan... I literally teared up!!! SO MANY EMOTIONS AND MEMORIES IN THAT ONE MOMENT!!! The Ezra and Sabine workaround was perfect! It literally made me laugh out loud! Thank you for making the BEST maps!
Thanks for your support babin! I'm glad you enjoy my work. Guess I could have kitbashed sabine and ezra's heads onto the pilot model so they could go without the helmets at least, but that would have been a shitton of work for a small thing. Also wish there was a model for a prisoner uniform Hera, but I don't have the texturing skills for uv mapping in sufficient detail. Should have at least one more Rebels map, eventually, with the Lothal Mountains from the same episode, including where Kanan removed his mask. Got a lot of the models and rooms done, but the map is still a long way off. After that I might do Aldahni or however you spell it from Andor, which was very visually impressive
First off, impressive workaround! Working smart with limitations is always admirable! Also, talkin' about Rebels maps, something that has shocked me is the fact that no one has made a Star Cluster space map!!! That was probably the most visually stunning moment in ALL OF STAR WARS!!! That aside, I always thought Crownest: Wren Homestead, Garel Space Port, Fenn Rau's Mandalorian Protector's Camp Site, Dathomir's Ritual Site, Malachor's Dead Grounds, Lothal Temple (When the Imperials were excavating it.), The Lothalian Marketplace, the World Between Worlds and the Geonosis Cave System were all incredible locations for BF2 maps but hey, that's probably just me. Whenever I see them, I can literally imagine where the command posts or what modes it could have! Lol
Have you ever thought about getting into modding? Seems like you have the perfect mindset and creativity for it. Takes a lot of work, but actually not that much technical knowledge if you're persistent
Sadly, I wouldn't know where to begin and plus, my creative outlet is my writing and painting! In fact, I'm in the works of writing a piece about Project Blackwing!

I have noticed a few minor bugs which I intend to fix- one of the cp's capture zones extends outside the building it's in slightly, there is a barrier issue involving the atsts trying to walk into a wall, and I think I might have a way to get the ai to access the awings without screwing up the ai pathing, so I will almost certainly do a small update relatively soon. Please lmk any bugs or other issues you may have noticed so I can take a look at them too, though keep in mind this update is intended to be minor and small
