Tournament of Chaos mod for Half-Life

The story:

In 1978 some French scientists found a new species of animal, which only appeared in the dark nights of the Amazonian rainforest. This new species had an incredible speed and was very good at camouflaging itself. The scientists captured these animals and began doing tests with them. At several tests the animals showed that they were carnivorous and cannibalistic, with their large claws they could slash a cow in half and even cut through glass without injuring themselves. The scientists kept on researching with these animals up till now.

At that time there began a nuclear war, and because of that war their research had to stop, due to a lack of fundings. The war itself spread out quickly and more and more countries were contaminated by the radiation. France got contaminated and the new creatures were also infected. By the damaging radiation their DNA was changed in a way that the creatures could still live, however horribly mutated into creatures with powers unknown. These mutated creatures suddenly showed up everywhere around the world, with the only explanation that they could go underground and dig their way around the world. Over half the world population starved from cancer caused by the radiation. Some people, due to the radiotion, mutated into beastlike humans, with the strength of an ox and the intelligence of a human. They had nearly become the dominating race on earth, until they faced the mutated creatures from the Amazonian rainforest. The Mutants wanted revenge for what the world had done to them and the Dark Creatures have always been hungry for blood. Unevitebly these two collided in a battle that would have never ended, if nothing would change.

After the war there stil were some normal humans left (a total of approximately 10.000 people), who they tried to unite and face the dangers. However there were a lot of argues and fights amongst them and so they split up in two almost equally sized teams (the Renegades and the Guardians). They both tried to find out who started the nuclear war and why, until the Renegades encountered the Mutants. The Mutants thought only about killing the few normal humans that were left, because they were the ones that mutated their bodies into their twisted shapes. The Renegades put up a heavy battle and many lives were lost on both sides, however the Renegades now were slightly outnumbered. After this the Renegades did some armoring and came up with lots of weapons (they thought weapons were more of a defense).

The Renegades once tried to reunite with the Guardians, but they found them just after a clash with the Dark Creatures. Heavily armed and with a lot of guns the Guardians had fought back to the Creatures and that battle sort of ended in a remise. The Guardians thought the Renegades were planning a sneak attack on them and so they opened fire. The Renegades returned fire. After this misunderstanding, relations between the Renegades and Guardians deteriated and they started to battle amongst eachother too.

At the present time three of the teams still fight to claim the world. Only the Dark Creatures don't want world domination, they just kill for fun. In this harsh and barren wasteland of radiation and an always lurking death this is a task that seems nearly impossible, but the three all want it so bad that they will kill everything if necessary. And so they all collided in an endless battle that was called:
