This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.
I have been thinking more extensively about evolution of the forgotten.
There has been some hints in TS that mutants can become powerful beings if they do not turn into mindless brutes. And the result is here The Ascended. Basically its evolved mutant who generate electricity so strong he can throw lightning bolts.
Note: Ascended is working name but you may have better suggestion ;)

But the name, perhaps not Ascended, as ascension is sort of Nod stuff, not Forgotten. Shock Trooper could be a good name if Scrin didn't already have them.

Hmm, how about naming these guys either "Harbingers" or "Storm Casters"? I assume it's a squad - if not, remove the 's' at the end ;)
Side note: Maybe the Tiberian Fiends should also cloke in tiberium, because they have tiberium crystals on their back which camouflages them in the surrounding tiberium?

When i here "ascended" i think NOD, perhaps something more descriptive would be more fitting for The Forgotten. Perhaps these guys could be called something like "Cracklers"?
What about Wasteland Vanguard or just Vanguard Squad?
Please don't name it a Shock Trooper, that is way overused...

Why not "Forgotten Storm Trooper"? I'm guessing the lightening bolt thing is based off of a similar mechanism to how ion storms and Scrin storm columns function.
Storm Raiders, perhaps? I suspect they wouldn't at all mind slogging or slugging it through an ion storm.
Storm Raiders is a bit too close to Storm Riders. Plus, raiders feels more like a hit and run type of unit. i.e. they raid the enemy. These guys feel more like Zone Troopers. A front line heavy hitting assault infantry.
As in; Those who raid in the Storm. You don't always need to use very light units for it, and these guys are probably still pegged closer to a GDI Rifleman in load without assuming they have any strength mutations. (Which they probably do.)
Bottomline; They'd probably have a comparatively easier time moving fast and quiet through a yellow zone ion storm, in order to *ahem* secure resources.
Looking at the screenshots, Darth Sidious could be an appropriate name. xD

Like I said in the other pic, "Ascendant" - a slight modification to their current name - might fit better. "Scions", "Auspices", "Blessed Ones" or perhaps "Shaman" I think would be good options, too.
Regardless, really liking this unit, especially its lightning effects. I do believe, however, it could also use another secondary ability, like a Levitation of sorts that allows it to travel quickly from one point to another; mainly to showcase their psychic gifts.
A jump ability named antigravitic pulse would be awsome!
