This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.

Holy cow! Because a battleship's battery atop a pair of legs wasn't enough for GDI, now the cannons are railguns!

Nice work!

make perfect sense! they are tall and they are artillery! so railguns seems like the perfect upgrade for this units if you know the usage of railgun in today military!

What Fr0styN1nja likely means is that Railguns are still in the prototype stage and are not yet currently viable battlefield weapons. Even the prototypes at this stage would have to be mounted on a naval warship such as the DDG-1000 Zumwalt class (assuming the ships aren't cancled) but Railguns may become operational within the next 10-20 years assuming solutions can be found for their durability problems.

full railguns field operated on naval units requires an entire nuclear fusion reactor onboard. these also are still in development. i have many other practical uses for railguns but military use is not and most likely will never be one of them

most likely is not something that can deny usage of railgun! what i mean is what battleben8492 said!
which is enough to prove that in a era like tierbium essence it does make perfect sense to mount it on such a heavy walker which can carry a naval weapon on it! not to mention that GDI already have portable versions for zone troopers...
