This modification offers an alternative gameplay to Tiberian Wars involving many Tiberian Sun units which many CnC fans (like me) missing in vanilla CNC3 and add even new my made units which you can't find anywhere else. Story is quite the same like Tiberian Wars, but is all about what if GDI and Nod do not abandon technologies they have used in Tiberian Sun era and instead of that further developed them. But it's not only that, there are many visual, sound and balance changes which I want to see and hear in my mod, new sounds, new music, new effects (like blood and gore, new infantry deaths, new more realistic missile trails) and many more.

is the generator an area of effect structure from where its built or will it give a support power to place where you want?

This is a good question. I guess it partly depends on how much armor/defense on objects is increased that determines this.

Oh...so this is an iron curtain? NOT a firestorm generator? That's disappointing...

Iron curtain is off. because of that GDI with impregnable armor is just OP. it will now just give a small buff for the armor extra.

I've seen an played almost half of The Tiberium Universe Series, but I got fed with the graphics and due to the fact I had to wait till the Tiberium Wars Masterpiece as we see today. Was finally created. However in theor and I suspect: USSR Did not like the way Master Kane was going toward using Tiberium as a Weapon, so in others and in theory: USSR Betrayed Nod and joined the Allies thus probably apologizing after seeing the error of their ways forming now what we know as instead of Allies Is the Global Defense Iniative.
Now their is one thing that has been really bugging me about Xenoforce, what if? The Whole Gundam Saga Started from Tiberium Wars? What if UFC? Federation(Sorry don't knw the others) If the whole animated series was based off the game of Tiberium Wars? Hell if they did a major Campaign, Tiberium Wars Sales would have made a mark in market history, thus making it a even more popular RTS War Stragety game? Pretty Crazy theory, I'm just saying.

Here is an idea: (probably scrap)
It charges over time(as Scrin tank charges itself with tiberium). When charge-bar full can activate ability: An extremely strong shield for all buildings in radius of self and nodes. Charge is a long bar each dmg point absorbed detracted from the bar. You cant turn off it automatically ends after a set time or bar fully expired then reloads. Activation cost of ability: energy usage doubles when active. For recreating the grid: same as walls: you place a node(consumes power) and can 'fence' between them(doesnt cost power and passable above, invincible self destroy node to get rid of it). That way its a instrument of limited base invulnerability. for The more things are in the grid the faster it will expire. Extra research in tech-lab for strengthening ability so it can absorb a nuke in theory( thats if you protect too few buildings with itself only, due to how nukes work).

I was thinking that the firestorm gen could have shield come out of it kinda like the stais shield the scrin have when it's activated. It could protect anything within the shield for a short time like in TS when it was activated it satayed on for a short time then went into recharge might work I could look into trying it out if I can get it to work i'll send Carnius a message and let him know.

What about say this:
If the Ion generator activated, the ion shilded units will be invulnerable. But when the Generator is destroyed, all effected units has got EMP effect and shutting down. And the troopers got ion radiation damage near to Ion generator

And similar to Scrin Storm Column we can place other ion gen but just far away from the other generator.

And if the effected units will be invulnerable they got 1Úmage/sec but the damage from outside is useless for this time.

As much as I like the Fire Storm generator, I don't think it should be used until certain bugs have been removed. As I myself know, the Fire Storm can be used in an offensive way. I generally have two or three MCV's for this purpose. I wait for the enemy to send a large force and then I put a Fire Storm generator in the middle of them, in turn destroying everything they had to fight with. If they don't notice or they are busy, then there entire army is wiped out. This generally gets people stating that I am some sort of a cheater, which I hate. Also I have (against AI) used the Fire Storm generator offensively, I capture a structure that has build influence and I put Fire Storm generators everywhere. I make sure that I have 200-300 surplus power and two or three generators pre-constructed ready to lay down. This completely cripples any enemy base in a matter of seconds. The Fire Storm generator should be unable to destroy structures or unable to be constructed in an enemy base (off of captured Command posts/War factories/Technology centres) and only off of the influence from a valid area like a MCV.

every defensive structure can be used that way, only this one is probably most effective, still it´s a proper strategy... that you hate people calling you cheater for using such strategies is your problem not mods, just ignore them.. no one is going to change this structure for a few people who can not understand it... and there is much more OP strategies against AI that can make you win against brutal in a few few minutes, its just your choice whether you´re going to use them or not... when we play against GDI we must just be prepared for it and do something for it not to happen... when you destroyed my units while testing the map the only problem was that I was not scouting the area around my base bacause i didnt care that time... in serious match i wouldn´t let you build those surveyors near my base... and if I did it would be completely my fault and not that the generator is OP or whatever...

however, I´d like it to have countdowns like superweapons, so they cant be used immediately after being built, or if possible just some 15 seconds countdown at the start

Firestorm shiled generator will be working differently than as you know from Tib Sun. Due engine limitations and ballance problems in general i decided to do it as aura generator that boost armor of gdi units (and maybe structures too)
