Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

Nod had this beetle look for C&C 3. And it fits them quite well. The concept art is a bit menacing for a harvester. I like it.

Hmm..."ready for pickup"? Are you telling us you managed to implement that "Tiberium tank carrier" from the Tiberium concept arts?

At first glance the harvester looks pretty cool, but if you look at it a little longer it actually looks a bit impractical and in my opinion it also looks a bit too much like a shrimp.
The main thing that bugs me is the front; it doesn't look like it can effectively harvest tiberium the way that it is, since it doesn't even have a tool to cut the crystals loose. Where the TD harvester had 2 big blades and the TS harvester had some sort of (what appeared to be) a circle-saw for cutting loose the crystals, this harvester only has these "tentacles".

The cockpit is clearly inspired by the cockpit of the traditional TS harvester, I like it!

But maybe you should take Bittah_Commanders comment in consideration and maybe add the to big blades of the TD harvester or something like that.

Great work as always!!!!

Btw, I'm kinda wondering, will the Nod harvester have a stealth upgrade or any other interesting feature? Because GDIs harvesters will have carry-alls carrying them around on the battlefield aight?
Subterranean upgrade?

This model does seem to have something that kinda looks like a phlough behind the 'gatherers', perhaps it also serves a cutting purpouse. Also as for this model a subterranean movement would quite ok.

Hello everyone, thank you for your warm comments!
As for Bittah_Commander's question:
The spiked "tentacles" are inserting the ground and loosening the roots hold. Now, if you notice the bottom front, you'll see a bucket/blade that is similar to a construction tractor's front. When the vehicle drives over the loosen plant, it uses this part to collect the plant, with the help of the "tentacles", and from there its being sucked into the tank.

TD ones had two "claws/arms" I'd say, to cut the Tiberium up, then it would open up a went and put the Tiberium in, the TS harvesters had one big blade to get down to the ground and take the tiberium up witch then was sucked in to a big tube in the front of the vehicle.

Are you going to change GDI Harvester too? Because GDI one has only 4 wheels to drive through the tib fields, they would get stuck easily. This one has chain wheels.. and could not get stuck easily. Just a thought.

GDI Harvester will revert to a design more close to the traditional Tiberian Sun Harvester, the current Harvester model was designed as a slight upgrade from Tiberian Dawn's in an earlier Tiberian Sun Rising design. But later decided GDI to have TibSuns Harvester and Nod to have a brand new design.

At the moment we are prioritising Art for things that has not been finished yet. Eg the Harvester is ingame and working, looks pretty good. Priority is getting GDI and Nod completed. Then we'll go back and redo things that we feel could be improved or changed to fit better with the current design.
