Thrawn's Revenge is a large-scale mod for Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. It includes the events of the Galactic Civil War after Palpatine's death at Endor, up until the signing of the Pellaeon-Gavrisom treaty. If you own the Steam version of EaW, you will have to complete extra steps to run the mod after installation. Please see the manual for these steps.

I do and don't.
Like, it looks really good but there isn't much about it that screams "This is a Corellian Engineering Corporation design". It feels too curvy/smooth/rounded.

My opinion could totally change once we see the texture though, I might just not be seeing it yet.

in all fairness, the Corellian corvette itself even has very rounded parts- but I agree with you.. too much of an MC80 shape

I for one welcome it instead of the lazy boring idea of

ALL CORELLIAN SHIPS ARE VARIATIONS OF THE CR90, there are some really lazy fanon stuff like a corellian destroyer just being an elongated big cr 90 with very minor changes

the interceptor iv is also corelian and it looks different than the cr90, heck the dp 20 isn't even that similar besides teh size and engine block

Adding on to this, the most comparable peer design of the Strident (Specifically the Corellian (Egg)Dreadnaughts in Legacy of the Force) are described as rounded/very curved. As the other option that falls into the small battlecruiser size developed well into the post-Endor era.

Additionally, as mentioned above not every ship designed by the company meets the same aesthetic. The assorted transports and different styles of angular blocks are present, but also more relevant designs like the CC-9600, (implied) imperial assault transport, and frigates converted into ramships in Showdown at Centerpoint.

It's a continuing trend, with cooperation with Loroaar (who makes primarily rounded ships) being a factor in the GCW-designed era of their military products as well, and does continue with several of their legacy-era products.

So are you working with the idea, that the Strident and the corelian dreadnought are the same thing? I always thought that this was never really clear stated in the sources

No, we're just using design cues from known ships to inform a consistent design philosophy for the faction/manufacturer.

Description

EaWX's take on the Strident-class Star Defender, based on concept done by Valerie for our Legacy of the Vong News Post waaay back when. Should see a textured version fairly soon, but this one's kinda been a white whale for a while so is worth the early share.
