Yes, they're not literal Men crossed with Trolls; rather they are Men of Troll-like stature twisted and corrupted by the Golden King's magic.

I love your logic more than what most Fandoms used to claim that usually created none existent racial controversy.
Great job 👍

So, they are big as the Beornings Berserkers? (I love those mf).
I think most of us expected the half-trolls to be literally half men and half troll. But now I am glad to see I was wrong, love the design, but most love the idea about the whole faction.
Personally like those factions with "micro" factions inside, like the men of Rhun in Mordor, or the people of Eriador in Imladris, and this one looks like a mix of multiple (subjugated) micro-armies.

They're as big, if not slightly bigger than the Beornings! We want Haradwaith to be a very diverse faction made up of lots of cultures to open up different gameplay choices.

Absolutely love the concept ideas behind these units and their hero Caran-Lambar. You've found a very cool way to portray the "white-eyed" black characters respecting the basic Tolkenian lore (thus making them specific of very exotic location) and still making them originally a benign civilization that fell to corruption after being forcefully twisted by a superior evil power. It also adds a bitter/sad element for their lost and likely forgotten (by Gondorians) cause.
Really good job here.

Description

'When Caran-Lambar, the young and mighty chief of a prominent Nafârati tribe, heard the rumor of an evil presence stirring in the distant southern wastes he gathered a band of his greatest warriors and set forth on a heroic quest to root it out.

Contrary to the great fortunes foretold by the totemics of Nafârat, the brave chief's efforts turned to disaster when he and his companions walked headlong into the fell sorcery of the Golden King, where no martial prowess could avail them. They were ensnared, corrupted, and set against their former allies and homes, being the mighty vanguard of the Golden King's forceful subjugation of Haradwaith.'
