Overview:

This is collection of several most popular models, textures and sounds for System Shock 2 that were created by great system shock community on Systemshock.org
Reason for this collection is simple, it is easier to load one mod file and don't care about what comes before which one. Also Night Dive studios told us players that they will ship new remake of System Shock with enhanced edition of SS2, and by the look of it, this collection covers all mods from community that they will use.

All credit goes to creators of these mods.

Installation:

- After you install SS2 (Steam or GOG version) download SS2Tool V6.1 and patch your game.
- Download SCP beta 4 and put it in same folder where you will save SS2 Redux (leave them in .zip format, don't unpack them).
- Open your Blue mod manager that is located in game folder under name ss2bmm and load SCP4 and Redux in the order like in the image bellow (SCP4 at the bottom and Redux at top) and enjoy :)

System Shock 2 Redux

Note for use with SYSTEM SHOCK INFINITE mod:

You will have to remove hudlogs.nut it is located in your game installation folder under \DMM\SS2 redux\sq_scripts so you will not see double portrait icon on the left side of your screen whenever you have incoming message.
In case you have issues installing Infinite mod, it is best to extract System_shock_infinte folder from mod zip file to DMM folder of your game installation and blue mod manager will pick it up

Thanks to all creators of these fantastic mods and tools.

Veteran System Shock 2 mod user and mod creator here:

PLEASE for the love of god don't use mod packs. I am sure the creator of this pack has good intentions, and isn't trying to blatantly copy the work of others, but even then using a mod pack such as this is VASTLY inferior to simply installing the mods yourself. Yes, it's a few minutes of effort to download them yourself, but then you don't end up with outdated versions of mods, you can enable and disable as many of them as you want, and don't get weird compatibility issues (like the issue with HUD Logs and System Shock Infinite).

If you want a real guide by someone who knows what they are doing, I wrote one a while back, which links to every mod mentioned for easy downloads: Sarge945.xyz

Well for some people moddb is the only place they know to look for mods, and this was created for those kind of people.

I added links to all used mods for people who know more about modding to use them on their own if they desire to.
On the topic of I agree that clean moding is the best way to go, but not all are skilled or desire to do it.

And PLEASE for the love of god no need to put someone down, so you would look like a better or more skilled person ;) No need to be a **** about it.

Minor gripe: the inventory image of the wrench is a red pipe wrench, but the in game model is the updated yellow adjustable spanner which I prefer. Is there a way to revert the inventory image of the wrench to vanilla?

Might be a walloftext coming here but i will do a tl;dr at the end.
I got this game on release as big box. Still have the CD. Not played for years and I was up for a replay. I'd heard of this Redux, but wanted to do it manually. So I got all the mods. Installed them all. Started the game and get to Basic Training. There's a part for learning about using an in game button to raise a lift. I got on the lift, clicked the button, but the lift went straight through me. So I uninstalled everything and tried Redux. But exactly the same is happening. Has nobody else noticed, or is it just me?

TL;DR The lift in Basic Training rises straight through your player.

edit
Starting from scratch again I installed the game with SS2Tool and then started the game with SS2.exe rather than the mod manager. I still get the same. The lift goes through me. Surely the game isn't supposed to be like this? I don't remember it happening before.

edit2
Just watched a couple of Youtube videos where exactly the same is happening. Lift goes through the player.

Last time I done training it never happened to me, quite strange to be honest. P.S this Redux is just the collection of those mods you already tried inittialy, so yes if those mods have some bugs, this collection will inherit them :)

Do you know the fan website systemshock(DOT)org? I contacted the guy that runs the website. He says there's nothing wrong. The lift going through the player is how it's always been. It's supposed to be like that.

If there's anything I could ask as top priority right now, would be upscaled HD GUI/HUD and fonts. The UI stretching is kinda butchered in my 3440x1440 monitor.

Problem is that I just made collection of mods from system shock mod. They are not developed for higher resolution.
Wait for official SS2 enchanced edition, it will probablyu have proper 4k ish support :)
