Hello, I'm very glad you liked Survive in Catacombs so that you have appreciated the first before the second! And I thank you for the brilliant computer from Fox! When I found it superbly in the Gamestar (64) it surprised me and also that it is going be another round of your favourite mod, so I do not resist and started to continue. I worked harder rather than in length - so that it's greater quality and a bit due to lack of time on my part so it's "not too long" ..Well maybe you and Gamestar will love Catacombs 2, Survive & show your love!

The story:
Attend this time in Neil Harlock's skin, which in the second group of
archaeologist team of Silvester Landmann searching for landmarks in the catacombs beneath Rosenwill place.
Can not hardly wait for the discoveries, so you're down sooner than the other team members, now they are already dead and, paradoxically, still alive - in the catacombs!
Instead of artefacts and monuments, only show up zombies and monsters!
And it would not be survival horror, if the sole aim is archaeology?...

Let's hope I don't have to cheat to complete this one due to horrible game crashes, hah... I've "survive in catacombs" once, but can I do it again? That's the question.

Edit: "I live... again!" Haha... this is definitely stealing ideas from Blood. And They Hunger.

The first "Survive in Catacombs" was good. This one.. this one suffers from the same problems as 99% of Half-Life mods: WAAAY too hard and hence, ZERO fun-factor.. You get no ammo, no health, no armor, and half infinitely-spawning enemies.

Did you ever see the movie Night of the Living Dead? Zombies are slow, and you can generally just run past them. You don't have to kill every single one, except a few parts- there are a ridiculous number of them in SIC 2, but c'mon man, they're slower than turtles, use the fork and save some ammo. Dynamite is also extremely plentiful.

By the end on hard I had a hefty amount of ammo, much more than I needed. Which was actually kind of disappointing, because I was saving it for a battle even harder than the final one, but that battle never happened... and before I knew it, the credits were rolling. Ah well.

Betcha $20 he was playing on hard too.

See folks, I'd be more sympathetic if he didn't rate the mod a 1/10 due to his incompetence. If you don't like the difficulty, rate it on map design or something, don't just throw a fit and give it a 1/10 rating because it hurt your feelings.

It really all depends on your play style (how much of a challenge you like, a person's attention span, how much the game draws a person in, and etc.") I love the games where you "shoot 'em up" so to speak, and the games where a sort of survival feel comes into play (Afraid of Monsters, Amnesia, etc.) It can be unfair at time, but again, it all depends on perception AND a person's particular tastes.
