Attend this time in Neil Harlock's skin, which in the second group of archaeologist team Silvester Landmann searching for landmarks in the catacombs beneath Rosenwill place. Can not hardly wait for the discoveries, so you're down sooner than the other team members, now they are already dead and, paradoxically, still alive - in the catacombs! Instead of artefacts and monuments, only show up zombies and monsters! And it would not be survival horror, if the sole aim is archaelogy?...

I'm going to be honest, despite the huge zombie horde battles and obvious Blood references (which I like), I was actually kinda disappointed by this one compared to SIC 1. Its very short, and you don't fight as wide a variety of enemies. The NPC AI is also horrendous for the situations they get put in, they don't react well to that They Hunger animation of a zombie rising out of the grave, and it can get them killed VERY easily. For that severe balance flaw, mainly on hard, it gets a C rating from me, even though I enjoyed it. The NPCs get involved in fights that would be fine if you were on your own, but they're just not suited to fighting that many zombies at once, and it gets frustrating trying to babysit them.

Having said that... the level design was a step up from SIC 1, in my opinion. Lots of ambient sounds and interactive things, and there's a part kind of like Xen that I really thought was a stroke of design genius. Try it out, but don't be suprised if you get stuck a few times trying to figure out what to do next.

This was another good one. I have to admit to becoming bored from having to kill every slow, idiot zombie one-by-one in order to progress further. Aside from that, the weapons, enemies and levels were rather well-done. I couldn't understand a word that was spoken or shown, but I managed to make it through just fine. I saw the usual nods to They Hunger, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, etc. as well as Clive Barker's Undying, if I'm not mistaken. Overall a good play if you want a horror-based Half-Life mod.

cool

Very good, but short!

While the levels are shorter, the enemies count is smaller and the content feels cut down, the content left is highly polished and professional.

This isn't nearly as good and refreshing as the first, but it is still a fine addition to anyone's library :)
